Our BWV waitlist finally came through for next month!

We've been on a BWV standard view (1 bed) waitlist for over 3 months now, and it finally came through yesterday! We booked pool view, but don't feel the extra points are worth it, so we waitlisted for Boardwalk view, since they are the same points. We then decided to waitlist for standard view as we could use the savings on the points for next year's silly point reallocation which is going to cost us approx. 25-30 more points. We figured we'd have a good chance of getting waitlist around the 30 mark, so it worked out!

Although our view might not be that great, it will work out well, as we are moving to a BWV studio the following 4 nights, so we will hopefully be in the same area.

Just wanted to wish those who are waiting for waitlists good luck! Now I'm trying to search for BWV standard view posts on here, but I'm having trouble with the search results, although I know I've read a lot of different threads on here about those views and where those rooms are located.

Great! I'm glad it worked out for you. Our SV studio in December was down by the end of the hall. It had a lovely view of a pond, and pretty water birds were often our entertainment as we sat on the balcony. There are some very nice aspects to the sv at BWV, plus the point savings!

Thanks! This is our very first time at BWV, so we are beyond excited. We absolutely love the Epcot resort area. We loved our stay at Yacht Club last year and are looking to possible add on at Beach Club or Boardwalk, in the future, so this is a good trial run for us.

Great news!!! I am doing the exact same thing - we have a preferred view in October, which I am fine with really, but figured, might as well save some points on the standard view or go for the boardwalk view. Great minds think alike! although I am really not holding out hope that 5 nights come available in October, we'll just have to wait and see!

I agree with you, it just kills me to use those points for a preferred view if I can't get Boardwalk view or standard. We almost always book at eleven months out so we've been pretty fortunate to usually get Boardwalk view for our December trips (so we can string the Christmas lights and see them as we pull up to the dock in the boat) and standard for the other trips.

We've never had a really bad view. For standard we've usually gotten a room facing the entrance way. Once when we were only two or three rooms from the elevator we could hear the ME buses quite a bit. Unfortunately I don't have a clue what the room number was.

Congrats on getting your room!! We are waitlising for MKV at BLT in September...keeping our fingers crossed...you give me hope!!
