Our BEDROOM makeover!

Almost done with our bedroom makeover...but I couldn't wait to share the pics. (Pics taken at night w/ flash so colors are a bit off.) Got new furniture, painted the walls 2 colors, new drapes, I made cornice boards, & new comforter set.

I still need to get the "stuff" for tops for bureau & chest. And need to make curtains that cover my scrapbook/craft tabe; and a tableclothe to cover a round corner table that DH insisted on keeping.

Very nice! Bedroom re-do is one of my goals for the summer - I'm not gonna nag DH about the colors until after our vacation!

Thanks everyone. These colors are really different for me. If you looked at the other rooms in the house....we've always been white walls & blue carpet. Everything else in the rooms is green / blue & a touch of a raspberry type color. I'm really into the jewel tones.

So these colors were something new. I'm not a huge fan of red....so had to find a shade I actually liked. It's like a rust. And the other color is called "cookie crumb". LOL

I had such a hard time finding anything in the stores in my usual colors to go with carpeting.....that I HAD to change. LOL

I really need to do our bedroom. We moved into our house August 2003, and walls still remain unpainted... I haven't decided what theme to go for: blues/sea/ocean theme or red/gold/India theme.

Your condo is nice. I sat there and looked at every pic! I liked that fridge/freezer downstairs! Your cabin looks so cute!

I also liked covering the bookcase. I hate my bookcase. I may have to try that!

I'm looking to redo my bedroom very soon. I know a lot of what I want but now I am thinking I might be able to do some sort of scrapbbok area. Thanks for the ideas and for sharing. You should both be proud of your hardwork!

Thanks everyone. DH even likes it too! Not flowery this time. The colors remind me of a man's wardrobe. This room came together pretty easy for some reason.
