It needs to stop storming! We got hit twice yesterday in Summit county. One storm at around 4:00 PM and another last night around midnight that lasted for 2 1/2 hours. My mom told me it stormed on Monday the 17th (the day we were supposed to be back from WDW). We also had some rain on Tues afternoon. The ground is too saturated and it is causing our basement to flood! Luckily, we learned our lesson last year when it flooded and had put everything in plastic Rubbermaid bins. It's still a pain in the neck having to move everything around so the floor can dry out. We had to throw out the cat litter and baking soda, but there was no major damage to anything. We have a bunch of stuff stored in the basement that we plan on selling at a Yard Sale this summer, so I'm glad none of it was ruined. Oh well, it could have been worse. Doesn't look like there is any rain in the forecast today which is very good news!

Sorry to hear about your flooding. As a fellow resident of Summit County, I can attest to the fact that we've had way too much rain over the past couple of weeks. Our backyard is underwater but fortunately our basement is still dry. I'm glad that you took the precaution of storing your things in plastic bins.

Yep someone want to turn off the tap that seems to be leaking from the sky enough allready. The farmers complain they don't get enough rain and this will be worse now they won't be able to plant because they have to much rain. It stormed here for most of the night last night.

I've heard it said that if you have a basement, sooner or later you will have water in it. Sorry about your situation:(
