Congratulations on your good fortune! That is definitely something to be looking forward to.

I have to say, you have a picture that I have never, ever taken - the tattoo man! I've heard of him, or maybe there is more than one of them, but I've never seen him/them in person. Very interesting, and yeah, that's a bit over the top for most of us. Cool that you saw it though, since it's so very unique.

OK! I did find out that our dates for AK will be 77 pts for a 1 bedroom villa and 90 pts for a 2 bedroom at OKW! I working on it now and we'll see what happens there is a 1 bedroom in Kidani Village open during my dates I'm waiting for the DISER to get back to me now! It will be a surprise for Hubby and kids if I can swing it!

Always so fun to be planning the next trip! Kidani sounds awesome!

Wow - tattoo man is something else. That is dedication!!

Yayy im going to see nemo when I goooo. I would bet a million bucks scott falls asleep :rotfl:

Aw, your camera died?! :headache:

Yeahhhh I was so disappointed because I forgot to bring backup batteries the first day!!

Anything you want specifics about, just let me know! :thumbsup2

Thanks CP!! Nothing I can think of right now but lots of pictures is always a plus :thumbsup2

70 pts for our whole stay, yepp...and its the weekend before Thanksgiving. A studio can hold 4 people, definitely look into it!!

Yes I agree I mean, the Dis is like the gathering of Disney fanatics and I don't know anyone on here who would do that! :confused3

Thanks MeMom!! So excited about Kidani! I can't believe I actually got a picture that you, the picture queen, has never taken! He was definitely unique to say the least.

Yayyy I'm sooo glad I got someone to look into renting DVC points! 77 points for a 1 bedroom is really good! And they have kitchens so you can save money by eating in there sometimes, its a win win! Let me know what happens with it please!! :cutie:

Always so fun to be planning the next trip! Kidani sounds awesome!

Kidani sounds soooo great, I'm thrilled! The tattoo man was definitely dedicated...if thats what you call that crazy mess :lmao:

GUESS WHATTTT I decided to start my PTR today! :yay:

Scott and Bryan will probably fall asleep in Nemo, I wouldnt be surprised LOL I can't wait to stay at AKV, we'll have to look into a joint trip there...the boys might gang up on us though and make us cry :lmao:

everyone check out Nicole's (ibedancin824) very 1st PTR!!!!!

I think a lot of people may have missed this little blurb of PTR since I joined it together with the last TR update! So, i'm going to post it again because I really need some restaurant feedback (even though I have over 2 months until I make ADRs LOL everyone knows the time flies by!). Thanks guys!!!

So as everyone knows we're heading back to WDW in November and instead of starting a whole new PTR thread I'm just going to mix it into here. Is that ok? I hope so So here's what we have so far for it...

Who: Chris and Kristen
When: Wednesday November 18-Monday November 23 (Chris's 25th bday is the 22nd!)
Where: Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village!!!!
Why: Because we love WDW! And to also celebrate Chris's bday of course.

We'll fly there because we're not really into the whole driving a million hours and spending the money to stay overnight at a hotel on the drive down. I'm waiting for Southwest to release their fares for November (which I heard will be released June 23) because we really want to fly out of our local airport and not have to drive into the city to fly out of JFK. And, Southwest is usually the cheapest anyway and has direct flights to Orlando. We haven't planned out any of the days of the trip yet because there's no hours out or anything yet. As for tickets, we have leftovers from the April trip, 3 days of base tickets and 5 fun visits (from the water park fun and more option on the April tickets). The only thing we need is one extra base ticket each because Chris decided he'd rather have the $75 gift card instead of getting in for free on his birthday. I was looking earlier for any discounts I could find on one day tickets and I couldn't find anything, not even through AAA. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!! As for dining, we have some ideas of where we want to eat but need to narrow it down alot. Here's what we're thinking, give me your opinions! Restaurants that have * next to them mean we definitely want to do them.

O'hana dinner*
Chef Mickey's breakfast or dinner*
Kona breakfast
Tusker House breakfast
Mama Melrose F! package (only if we decided we want to see F! again, we may not)
House of Blues dinner (because of how much Chris loved it here)*
Tutto Italia dinner
Boma dinner
50s Prime Time Cafe lunch*

I think thats it. Chris will pick somewhere to eat dinner on his bday. Also on this trip we're planning to hit Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and do the Keys to the Kingdom tour, both of which I'm soooo excited about!! Just under 6 months to go!!!!

Your restaurant list looks fun! There are quite a few that we are doing on our upcoming trip and I had a hard time w/ some of the ADR's because we waited until after the 90 day mark. :scared:

Not sure if you have ever tried Boma before, but this place is an absolute MUST for us every time we go. Besides the food being soooo good & unique, the theming and the resort itself are so "Disney" that we usually reserve it for our first night of our trip. Once we have gone there we feel like our trip has truly started. (BTW-this is why I am so jealous/happy for you that you get to stay at this resort for your next trip. What a great place to stay at!)

We are also doing a Kona breakfast (a first for us) and a O'hana dinner (another first). O'hana had nothing open for dinner ADR's before 9:30 at night every night of our trip, so we had to sign up for a late dinner that night. I really want to try it, so 9:30 it is. It seems that this is a very popular ADR.

We have not tried any of your other choices (other than House of Blues, but that was in Las Vegas years ago & I didn't care for it), so I'm sorry I can't be much help there.

I started my first PTR as well! Our trip is less than 3 weeks away and I couldn't resist. Please come check it out if you have some time!

Have you stayed in the AKV? I'm thrilledddddd to get a chance. Those tattoos were nuts!

Yes, we stayed at AKV on our trip last May. Obviously Kidani Village wasn't done yet so we were in the main building (I think they're calling that Jambo House now). OMG I loved it so much! Because of the construction we didn't see too many animals from our room but I still loved being able to go out onto the decks to animal watch. :goodvibes I love DVC, it's so great getting to stay at all these resorts! :thumbsup2 So cool you were able to rent points!

Just watned to join in and say HI!!!! Just found your trip report and loving it. Leaving for disney in less then a month :cool1:. We are going from june 24-july 1st. So if there is anything you want me to check out just let me know.

OK! Well if it all works out since my busy butt fell asleep really early and I mean really early as im usually up til 2am ! :scared1:I was asleep by 8pm last night I guess all the weekend Yard sales early morning got to me! MY DVC owner got back to me and wanted to call first thing this morning to reserve as they don't have many left that must be a poplar week do to being value season! But I'm just getting on now since DH, DD and DS went to visit the inlaws to go swimming! I made an excuse to stay behind! since I have loads of laundry to do! :rotfl:and I just PM'd him the names and dates ! This will be their Christmas present! My son just said yesterday I wish we could do Disney at Christmas that would be really neat! I said well not at Christmas but maybe someday near or around christmas!!! Then I think I will have to go on leave from disney for a year or I maybe divorced! :)We will definitely be eating in our room to save money there! We will also be driving to Disney this time! It's been at least 5yrs since we drove! The Dvc owner is really nice and we worked out a great deal! Thanks for sharing your Idea! Now keep your fingers crossed that when he gets my message Kidani village is still left as it is sctually the cheapest on PTS! OKW only had a 2 bedroom left it's only 90 pts so that would work also! :wizard:

Awesome news about Kidani! :cool1::cool1:

Loving the planning you've got going on. The restaurant list looks great! Your planning has been helpful for my planning, hope you don't mind? We have not been before  so I love living through your trip reports.

Kona has a great breakfast. I loved it when we ate there. But I always felt that I'd get a better "bang for my buck" using the dining plan on lunch or dinner. The breakfasts are pretty cheap (considering) and there's no way you'll eat $40 worth of food if you use your TS on breakfasts so I'd limit it to one or two or else you'll end up losing money on the DDP.

I think the list looks great. Have you thought about Teppan Edo? We tried it on our last trip and it was by far the best meal of the week! All of the food is grilled right in front of you. And as a sidenote, we are not adventurous eaters AT ALL!

Great Christmas surprise Goofy:goodvibes
You be a fabulous mom:cutie:
And if the whole too many Disney trips causes a divorce, I'll be glad to accompanny you on any future trips:lmao:

AKV is going to be so awesome!!!! :woohoo:

OMG you have to tell me how the Keys to the Kingdom tour goes!!

All those places look good. I'm guessing Chris will want to go to House of Blues on his b-day?

We have never tried Boma before but I really want to the more I read about it. The only problem is neither BF or I are very adventurous eaters...although everything I've read says we're sure to find something we like there. I'm thinking it might be our first night meal since we'll be so close at AKV. Thanks for the good advice!

We were supposed to do Kona breakfast last month but ended up just doing Capt. Cooks. With not having a car its too hard for us to get to the Poly, sit for a whole meal and then head to a park. It was easier to just do the CS. I'm reeeeeally psyched for O'hana so you're going to have to let me know how it went. :thumbsup2

The only reason we'll do HoB is if Chris wants to since he loved the music and atmosphere when we were just there. Otherwise it wouldnt be on my list. Hopefully its good! I'm going to come join your PTR in just a minute!

I think I read your TR from that trip (lurked LOL) too and I forgot you stayed there :headache: We're not getting a Savannah view room but I know theres areas to go view it thats like a community area too, right? I can't wait to be able to own DVC one day!

Just watned to join in and say HI!!!! Just found your trip report and loving it. Leaving for disney in less then a month :cool1:. We are going from june 24-july 1st. So if there is anything you want me to check out just let me know.

Sooo lucky that you are going in less than a month! You're going to have the best time. Glad you joined in, stick around here!

:yay: Yayyy I'm so excited for you! My fingers are crossed that you'll be able to get AKV (isn't it weird that they have the lowest points on the list? it is to me anyway). Since you live in Jersey I'm assuming it can't be more than like 3 hours away from my house so I can't believe you're going to drive! Not that its unheard of but its a long one LOL I wish my parents would take me to Disney as my Christmas gift! Keep me updated!

Awesome news about Kidani! :cool1::cool1:

Yes, I was thinking the same thing about breakfasts on the DP. Depending on how many we decide to do we'll probably pay OOP for them since they're generally cheaper. We just ate at TE in April. We thought it was good and would eat there again but not right away. It actually was much less food than our local Japanese hibachi place, with less quality at a higher price. So while it was good and we liked it, we wouldnt need to head back there asap. Definitely a cool experience and great service there though! thanks! :thumbsup2

Great Christmas surprise Goofy:goodvibes

Can't wait for AKV!! I'll let you know how KTTK goes, I'm surprised in all your trips you've never done it! idk when Chris will want to do HoB, I hope he picks something cooler and better on his bday though

I'm surprised we haven't either. I guess I'm just afraid it'll ruin some of the magic, I don't know. But, I think we might have to do it next year or something.

Well I hope Chris picks out something awesome.
