Our Anniversary Week at the Happiest Place on Earth!! TR DONE 8/30 SOUVENIR POST SOON

HEy..

Tusker House is fun. We went last year, and we are going back in July.

As for the KTTK tour, my dad and I are doing it on July 21. We can't wait!

And if you'Re bored...you can join my ptr :P

Just saw you already went to Tusker House. I had totally forgotten about it. Oops lol

continued from previous post...

We got in the theater and got a really good seat about 12 rows or so from the stage on the left side.

As we were waiting, as I'm sure many of you know who have seen the show, Nemo starts appearing in the bubbles on the wall. It was totally adorable to hear and see all the little kids yelling "I saw him!" or "Mom look!" whenever they saw Nemo swim through the bubbles. Thats something I really look forward to for when I bring my own children to WDW. By this time we had already been awake since 6:30 after a longggg day before so sitting there waiting for the show to start in the cool air conditioning, dimly lit theater was a bit of a challenge for the 2 of us. Anyway, soon enough the show began. Here's a time where I reeeeeeeeeeally got frustrated with my crappy camera and reeeeeeeally wished I hadn't forgotten Chris's camera's charging USB cable :headache: His camera would have taken MUCH better pictures. Tammy, when you see these, you'll totally understand why we're looking into a new camera before November. I'm going to post all the ones I took, most of which you'll have to squint your eyes to make out. Sorry!!

Right about NOW is when Chris decided this show wasn't for him and proceeded to lean his head on my shoulder and fall asleep. Yes, he was out like a light even with the loud music and stuff going on. I know he's asleep because he twitches pretty badly right when he goes under and he was doing that in the show LOL As long as he didn't start to snore, I just let him keep sleeping.

I really liked this scene of them inside the fish tank. All the colors and stuff were just so beautiful to me and I actually managed to get a couple of clear shots.

Finding Nemo the musical was pretty cute but honestly not something we'll need to see every trip. Obviously Chris wasn't too entertained and I could take it or leave it. We'll see it again but not in November. Once Nemo was over we busted out our map and decided to head over to Dinoland. As we were walking we saw this guy

He was COVERED in tattoos...DISNEY TATTOOS!! Literally every tattoo was Disney. I loveee tattoos and have 6 myself but this guy was over the top. And I also loveeee Disney but to get THAT many Disney tattoos is crazy! This guy was like 6'2", 275 lbs and covered, head to toe in these tattoos. I of course HAD to get pictures of him! Funny funny.

Up next:: a bumpy Dinosaur ride and checking out some animal trails!

Awe.. I wanna see Finding Nemo-The Musical. I skipped it last time. Gotta see it this time.

YAY!!!! Congrats!!!

Isn't it exciting to finally be able to go to a deluxe!!

:yay::dance3::woohoo:

Animal Kingdom - awesome!! I am so jealous.
How do you rent DVC points?:confused3
I have seen in the past that you can buy people vacation points through a realator - but never heard of renting them

Soooo excited!! You rent DVC points when people have more points than they can use. The points from what I understand are only good for a certain amount of time and I'm guessing that if they don't use them before they expire, they lose them. So they rent them out to other people for a price per point. AKV for our stay is 70 pts so rented 70 pts from Eventer98.

Ideally i'd love to see it in NY, just because its broadway but I still have no confirmed plans off when i'll finally get to visit there :sad1: although i have next june in mind so fingerscrossed and if i do i Just have to see a show on Braodway although I've never even seen a show before :rolleyes1 but im sure i'll enjoy them espcially The Lion King. I really want to go see Dirty Dancing atm (thats playing in London too)
Oh i know what you mean about talking about trips that are a few years away like you're going in the next few months or so  i'm not going back to Disneyworld till 2011 (wipes the tears from my eyes) but im talking about it and picking hotels, what i want to do already, its never too early to plan or get excited :lmao: You would absolutely love NYC! Because I live so closed I take forgranted how amazing it is sometimes there and even though I'm technically a tourist, I get annoyed at the other tourists LOL I'd LOVE to go to London but I know that wont be happening for YEARS :guilty: And even though you're not going to WDW until 2011, you're going to Disneyland soon. Thats so cool!

I got to see the AI results last night although i already knew who won  because i see it on the net on a number of sites so it ruined the show a bit for me but i still enjoyed it. I agree Adam should have won, i picked him for the winner from the auditions i thought he was fantastic, but i have to say i wasn't tooo disapointed Kris won as i did like him too plus he's nice to look at  :rolleyes1 Kris was good and is sooo adorable but just shouldn't have won. Good luck to both of them though!

wooohoooo at getting to stay at the AKV :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: congratulations

Soooo excited to stay at AKV!!!

Just wanted to say I LOVE your TR so far and can't wait to read the rest!! popcorn::

I think now I need to check out the info on the costs for the DVC points for my trip next year!

Sooo happy you're liking the TR! Stick around theres alot more to come. Definitely go to the DVC threads and check out renting! Amazing for us!

OMG! That is such a good surprise! :dance3: It's going to be so cool!

Thanks chick! Hope you're enjoying the wedding right now!

So exciting about staying at Kidani. Brooklynn saw pictures of the pool area and wants to stay there. John and I have talked about renting points before from someone so maybe we will check it out.

Definitely check out renting points! I can just picture how much Brooklynn would LOVE to see the animals and stuff everyday. Renting makes those expensive stays a little more affordable. :thumbsup2

We would like to try TH again but the more I think about it, we probably will try and go somewhere we haven't done yet. Just an option though still. Let me know how you like the KTTK tour! I'm so excited for it!! I'm going to head over to your PTR right now ;)

Dang... now there's a committed Disney fan! Glad you took a picture! I couldn't believe he actually shaved a spot in the back of his head to show off a Mickey!

As for your tickets, I wish you'd have been able to add 1 more day to the tickets you already had, as that would have been your cheapest option. Live and learn, I suppose... 1 day as an individual ticket comes with a hefty price!

I just caught up with all your posts and congrats with the renting DVC points! :thumbsup2

We rented points on a Sun-Thurs stay last June at SSR. It was only about $10 more per night than a value resort with with a AAA discount! Yeah, renting DVC points is a great option, though it can get significantly more expensive for Sat & Sun night stays. We're hoping to try AKV some time in the future too!

I remember walking up to the lobby at SSR, seeing and hearing what I did around me just gave me this sense like, dang! This is way above us and our wallets! I hope this is a totally legit deal! And it was... and it was so much better than being at a value!

Can you believe that guys tattoos?! Crazy!! If we would have known we would be going back so soon for 5 nights for my BF's bday, we would have just added an extra day to the tickets. Too late now :headache: It definitely would have been much cheaper. The company my dad works for gets him free tickets sometimes (they got him 2 free 1 day base tickets that him and my mom are using to go to Epcot next week for their 25th anniversary) so I'm hoping he can get us something.

Renting the points was amazing for us. We're paying $130 less than we were paying at CSR with a 30% discount! I've been looking at AKV pictures on the Dis and thinking "OMG we're going to actually going to get to stay here!" We were all prepared to be staying at Pop for years to come because AKV is typically MUCH bigger than our pocketbooks, especially with me still being in school and only working part time!

I lost track of your report for a few days and all of this amazing news!! Congrats on renting points Kidani Village sounds awesome! Everest looks really cool to I think DD and I will be trying it this trip! :thumbsup2 So the renting points deal do you pay them a percentage when they book it? then so much at a later date? hows that work ? I never rented points just curious. Maybe that would be something to look into for my Nov/ Dec trip!

Oh, that is such awesome news -- staying at Kidani is going to be wonderful!!!

Loved the pictures of Everest -- I cannot wait to be there!!!

Congrats on your upcoming trip!

I'm going to have to try EE back row on our Sept trip. I hear it's fantastic.

We saw Nemo on our last trip and I think I remember dh snoozing through it too:rotfl:...dd and I sure loved it though. In your bf and my dh's defense, coming in from the heat and into the cool air sure does make you sleepy.

I can't believe those tatoos!!!!! THAT is a die hard Disney Fan right there!

Cool news on the AKV's. I would love to know how it works too.

I've yet to see Nemo, so I really enjoyed your pictures.

Ok off subject, but this bugs the heck out of me. LOL! I know people in different parts of the country say it different, but why do you say ON line when you a IN line? To me being online is surfing the web, but to be IN line is waiting your turn. LOL! I have heard it here and there and just never got how you could be ON a line? LOL! I know super dumb, but thats things that I think about when I bored. :rolleyes1

Ha ha. That guy had his own Hidden Mickey on the back of his head. I'm so glad you took that picture because how do you describe something like that?

Your Nemo pictures made me excited to see the show. I can't believe how many people were on stage. I have a feeling my son is going to love that show. Are there any parts that would be scary to a really young child?

Congrats on up coming trip:thumbsup2 I was hoping it was an engaement:lmao:. Does this twitch Chris have gone on the whole night? My DH does it but all night it makes me crazy:upsidedow.

OMG...i've heard about that guy before. I either watched something about it once or there was a thread about him. Apparently he goes quite a bit...course you could probably tell by looking at him he is a wdw fan..LOL!

Ohhhh AKV, that is very exciting news!!! You are going to love it there!

All those Disney tattoos are crazy! Guess he likes Disney. :rotfl:

Congrats on AKV!! I would also love to here about how renting points works.

The tattoo guy was crazy! I love tattoo's and have a couple myself (even with hidden mickey's in my butterfly!) but I would say that he is definitely hard core!

You got some really great pictures of De Vine too.:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the great pictures....I love pictures:lovestruc

I wonder how long it takes DeVine to get all that makeup on?:rotfl2:

Great Nemo pics. I think my kids would love that show.

Woo an update!

Yay you found Devine! Isn't she crazy?!

I'm so glad you rode the back on EE! Isn't it sooooooooooooo much better?!

I love the Nemo show! But c'mon Chris! Don't be falling asleep at WDW! :rotfl:

That's so cool you got to hear that band before going in. I've seen them more towards the entrance to the park before.

Is it almost time for FOTLK?! Because that's where I should be mentioned. ;) Haha.

A lot of people have been asking about how to rent DVC points. I'm no expert but I'll try and explain what I know and how it went for me. There's a whole thread on renting/trading DVC on the main page of the Dis. Anyways from what I understand DVC members have a certain amount of points a year and if they don't use them all they lose them after a certain amount of time. So instead of losing them, they rent them to non members. Each DVC resort stay is worth a certain # of points (for us its 70, based on the type of room, which we're getting a studio, and the view, which ours is standard view) and the member decides how much they want to rent each point for. From what I read on the threads it seems average was between $8-$13 a point, based on how quickly the member was trying to get rid of the points. So I contacted the DVC member, asked how much she was renting her points for and if she wanted to rent them to me. She said yes, told me her price and I gave her all the info she would need to check availability for me. She called, checked and got back to me with all the info. When we decided what exactly we wanted, we let her know and she called and booked it for us! Easy peazy. We even added the dining plan too which we pay upon arrival. The member books the reservation you in turn, you need to pay the renter once they send you the confirmation. I'm going to be paying her through paypal but I'm sure other sellers do it other ways. I'm paying her half when I get the confirmation and the other half at the 45 day mark. Because the points are not mine and the DVC member must make your reservation, I can't call and make any changes to it, only the member can. (even thought the reservation is in MY name) I think thats basically it. Any more questions that I can answer, feel free to ask!

Soooo excited to be staying at Kidani!! I would highly recommend riding EE, you and your DD will love it! I explained the whole renting DVC points up top. I would consider looking into it for your Nov/Dec trip because its an affordable way to stay at a deluxe!

Oh, that is such awesome news -- staying at Kidani is going to be wonderful!!!

Loved the pictures of Everest -- I cannot wait to be there!!!

I'm sooo thrilled to be staying at Kidani! When you're there IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS you're going to have to check it out for me and gimme the scoop on it :thumbsup2 You and Everest will be meeting veryyyy soon!

Congrats on your upcoming trip!

I'm going to have to try EE back row on our Sept trip. I hear it's fantastic.

I would definitely recommend EE from the back row...amazing! Those boys sleeping through Nemo :rotfl: they're too much. You're definitely right about the AC after coming in from the heat though. I was about to fall asleep too! Aren't those tattoos crazy?! He sure loves him some Disney LOL

Cool news on the AKV's. I would love to know how it works too.

I've yet to see Nemo, so I really enjoyed your pictures.

I gave a brief little explanation of the DVC point rentals up top, check it out! I'm glad my Nemo pics were enjoyable, since they're so blurry most of them LOL

I never noticed the whole ON line, IN line thing. I guess you're right though. I don't say ON line as opposed to IN line for any reason, I guess thats just how it comes out when I'm not thinking about it!

Ha ha. That guy had his own Hidden Mickey on the back of his head. I'm so glad you took that picture because how do you describe something like that?

Your Nemo pictures made me excited to see the show. I can't believe how many people were on stage. I have a feeling my son is going to love that show. Are there any parts that would be scary to a really young child?

 that guy for sure was a die hard Disney fan right there. When I saw it I had to get a picture but it was hard because we were walking in a group of people since Nemo had just let out. I did my best! LOL

To me it seemed like ALL the little kids in the audience were LOVING Nemo. I don't recall any parts that were scary at all. No loud booms or darkness really. I think he'll have a ball :thumbsup2

Congrats on up coming trip:thumbsup2 I was hoping it was an engaement:lmao:. Does this twitch Chris have gone on the whole night? My DH does it but all night it makes me crazy:upsidedow.

Nooooo engagments yet LOL Chris's twitch usually only goes on right when he falls asleep and then stops. I would probably wake him up and make him let me fall asleep first if he did it the whole night through :lmao:

OMG...i've heard about that guy before. I either watched something about it once or there was a thread about him. Apparently he goes quite a bit...course you could probably tell by looking at him he is a wdw fan..LOL!

I wouldn't be surprised if that tattoo guy was on some kind of Disney feature show. He's obviously got a bit of an obsession. Hey, if he gets to go to WDW more than I do, I'm jealous! LOL

Ohhhh AKV, that is very exciting news!!! You are going to love it there!

All those Disney tattoos are crazy! Guess he likes Disney. :rotfl:

Have you stayed in the AKV? I'm thrilledddddd to get a chance. Those tattoos were nuts!

Read the little blurb up top on the DVC point rentals! :) OMG I want to see your butterfly tattoo with the hidden mickeys! I would totally get something like that!! Glad you like the Divine pictures :cutie:

I wonder how long it takes DeVine to get all that makeup on?:rotfl2:

Great Nemo pics. I think my kids would love that show.

The real question is, how long does it take her to get that makeup OFF?! She probably walks around with a green tint all the time :rotfl: I think any kids would definitely love Nemo!

Woo an update!

Yay you found Devine! Isn't she crazy?!

I'm so glad you rode the back on EE! Isn't it sooooooooooooo much better?!

I love the Nemo show! But c'mon Chris! Don't be falling asleep at WDW! :rotfl:

Is it almost time for FOTLK?! Because that's where I should be mentioned. ;) Haha.

Yeah girl, you missed the update because you were partying it up at that wedding LOL Divine was reallyyyyy cool! I wish I could have gotten better pictures. EE was wayyyyyy better in the back row! Chris could fall alseep anywhere so not surprising he fell asleep during Nemo LOL The band was really cool. I love the bands that play on those drum things

FOTLK is coming soon. The next couple updates will be fairly short because my camera died right before FOTLK and there wont be pictures in those updates :sad2:
