Yay!!!!! We're going back to Disneyland!!!!!!:banana:

Who are we?

I am Anna, Travel Writer and obsessive trip planner. I travel the country and have been to Las Vegas, Eureka Springs, Branson, Bahamas, Orlando, WDW, Disneyland, and L.A.

My hubby is Kenny. He works as a supervisor and pulls in a lot of hours. So, when we can get away we do. He looks forward to it. We were at D-land in 2008 and stayed at CCI.

Our anniversary is coming up June 17th! We'll be married 5 years! :cloud9: We are planning to stay at Carousel Inn and are either going to stay June 9-13 or June 17-21. (It all depends on when he can get off)

I am a foodie and also do food photography.

Here's what I'm looking forward to eating at:

Napa Rose
Steakhouse 55
Goofy's Kitchen (both brunch and dinner)
Naples! Looooove their pizza!
HOB
Rainforest Cafe
Catal
WOC dinner

I am looking forward to World of Color! I saw it online and bawled! :lovestruc

I am into the classic Disney. Kenny likes Pixar.

Very excited! We usually do WDW, but I wanted to try something different this time! D-Land is so magical! You just can't recreate that feeling!

Anna

Here are our plans so far for or June trip:

Dates: June 9-13 or June 17-21 (Depends on when he can get off)

Stay at Carousel Inn (right across the street from Disneyland entrance! :cheer: )

Day 1: flight to LAX 6 a.m.-10:05 a.m.
drop our stuff off at CI
head to Disneyland Park (our package has park hopper tickets so we can go to Disney's California Adventure Park)
have lunch somewhere. We will have Disney gift cards. Also cards from establishments off property as well.
Explore and have fun!
Head back to Carousel. Depending on when we go, we may either have dinner at Steakhouse 55 (our Splurge) or................................................

we could go to Disney's California Adventure Park to see World of Color!

Day 2: Goofy's Kitchen breakfast. This breakfast is THE Best Character breakfast I've ever had....apart from Crystal Palace in WDW. I love it there! When we went in 2008, we saw Jasmine, Brer Bear, Brer Fox, Belle (she waved at me, made my day!) and Goofy!

Head to DCA. Ken loooves DCA. I'm partial to Disneyland Park. You can feel Walt's spirit there. Ken loves Pixar.

Have lunch somewhere, either in downtown Disney or off property.

That night: open. Unless we haven't seen WOC. We'll do that.

Day 3: free day!!!!! I have a 3 day ticket. (From my boss) Sooo...we have some options. We can go to Anaheim Gardenwalk w(We did that last time. Explored Anaheim) We can go to Six Flags Magic Mountain (Ken loooves Six Flags) and combine it with Universal. or we could go to Sea World! Decisions....Decisions....

Day 4: Last day. Boo-hoo. :crying: Breakfast at Carnation Cafe on Main Street in Disneyland Park.

Explore D-land Park/DCA.

Night: open. Maybe we'll do Downtown Disney or see the fireworks at D-land Park. (Waiting for the park schedule to come out)

So, that's it for now. more to come. Until later,

ttfn,

Anna

L:love:VE anniversary trips!! We had our most magical trip in 09 when we celebrated 25 yrs.......it was supposed to be my hubby & I but ended up with 4 of our kids in tow.....still a wonderful trip!!! We're celebrating 27 yrs in just over a week......NO KIDS!!!! Can't wait to try some new things.....we're going to do Napa Rose at the Chef's Counter & a late dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. After I made the ressie, I found out it was Fat Tuesday....so that should be a lot of fun!

You look to have a pretty good plan......I'm thinking the dates you're looking at, that most of the entertainment should be on a summer schedule....so that would be nightly fireworks, Fantasmic & WoC (multiple shows).

WoC is AWESOME!!! We did the Ariel's Grotto dinner last summer & it was by far the best meal we had all trip!!! The viewing area was dead center & we got right on the railings so we had an unobstructed view. Can't wait to see it again!!

DCA is a lot of construction walls right now, but maybe some of them will have come down when you go. They're projecting openings of the Little Mermaid ride & the conversion of Mulholland Madness to Goofy's Fly School for summer. Even with the walls up, it still is interesting to see all the changes going on. 2012 will be when they are all completed with the opening of CarsLand. Can't wait to see it when it's all done.

Just a little advise regarding the Rainforest Cafe......we've gone every trip since 2005 & the food quality continues to spiral downwards. Last summer, not one person enjoyed their meal (and there were 10 of us)......food overcooked, dry, no flavor, etc. I still like to go in there to look around.....but we're skipping it this upcoming trip.

Can't wait to read more as your trip gets closer!!

Six Flags is always fun!! But just know that it's about an hours drive, and it's pretty pathetic when you've just been to DL the previous two days :confused3 I still love going to Six Flags when I need my adrenaline kick though!! It's perfect for that :thumbsup2

How about possibly going to the beach on your free day?? After two days in the parks, you might feel a bit tired/pooped out, so a nice relaxing day wouldn't be too bad, right?? ;)

Either way it's going to be amazing fun and the best anniversary you could ask for!!! :cloud9:

I'll be booking probably in the next few days. We're going June 17-20.

Wednesday, I get a tooth out. :scared1: It's been hurting me and it needs to come out. Plus, it's keeping me from eating two foods I love: steak and pizza. So it must die. :rotfl2:

When I have recuperated, hubby is taking me to the new Wolfgang Puck Cafe here in T-Town! Sooo psyched! We ate there once before and it was divine!

Gabbie

We're booked:

June 9-12 Alpine Inn. I got a great deal!

We're going to D-land Park/DCA and also to Sea World or the SD Zoo.

Sooo psyched!

The tooth removal went fine! Kenny and I are going to Wolfgang's on Thursday to celebrate St. Patty's day! ;)

Gabbie

I have changed our trip to Oct. 30-Nov. 1. We are going to WDW Oct. 25-30! :cool1:

Also, I am going to D-land in Aug. for the D23 event!!!!!!

Lots of changes and fun things this year!

Anna

I'm so jealous. We were originally going the same time you are to celebrate our 10th anniversary. ((June 14th)) But due to unforseen circumstances we had to cancel. We're now going in October.

Hope you have a wonderful and magical anniversary.:thumbsup2

We changed it to Oct. since we're trying to conceive our first baby and this way, we could have time to figure out how everything will go and stuff. We're seeing an RE for it.

We may go to Eureka Springs for our official anniversary in June though. Ken wants to take the car out for a long drive! :)

Ooopppss.. I missed that post. Funny we both had to postphone our "anniversary" trips.

Happy Baby making! :thumbsup2

DH and I are thinking about trying for another baby next summer. So we wanted to get another disney trip done before then. I don't want to be pregnant while vacationing. Or have a newborn while on vacation. We took DS when he was 3 months old to WDW last year and it was a "little" challenging. Luckily we had extra hands to help out though.

We are going to D23 in August!!!!!! Sooo psyched! My boss is sending us tickets! :worship:

We plan to stay at a Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn, or Ramada near the Convention Center. We're going Aug. 18-21. :cloud9:

For our anniversary in June, we're going to Frontier City (an amusement park, like Six Flags) in OKC. Should be fun.

Gabbie

We are booked and confirmed! :cool1:

Staying at the Ramada Maingate right across the street form D-land Aug. 17-20! :cool1::love:

I am going to make our PS's next month....so far, I have Catal Restaurant & Uva bar booked on opentable at 7 p.m. Aug. 18.

Also looking to do WOC picnic, Goofy's Kitchen and House of Blues. Plus, a lot of counter service places look pretty good too. I am loving Ralph Brennans! Kenny would enjoy it. :yay:

I will be booking our airfare/transportation next month.

In November, we are going the 9-14 to WDW at POR for the F&W/MVMCP party.

At the end of November.....I am scheduled to have surgery. :scared1:

It's a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy to open my fallopian tubes. (One is swollen and may need to be removed). They are also going to re-shape my uterus and shave my fibroids down. This way, I will have an easier "time of the month", my IBS will go away, and my fertility will be restored! :cheer2: It's outpatient and I want to get it done before Christmas so I can at least enjoy the holidays. I plan to do our Christmas shopping/wrapping the week of turkey day.

That's all for now.....more updates to come!

Anna

I will update on my computer soon. We skipped Vegas and stayed at a Ramada near the Convention Center. We ate at Goofys and a lot of off the beaten path places.
