Calling all Dis'ers....... I need your help. I want to make a countdown calendar for the boys. I want to place it behind their Easter baskets as part of the Easter surprise reveal of our trip. The problem is I am at a complete loss as of what to do for the calendar. I of course have plenty of Mickey head paint chips I also have some Disney stickers but would like some ideas from all of you as to how to design it. So fire when ready I want to incorporate POFQ into too because that's where we are staying.

On a side note, my cousin whom I am very close to, told me on Friday night that she and her family are going to Disney too but we are going to miss them by 1 day! It really is so sad because we could have taken turns babysitting each others children for one night and we wouldn't have to pay for babysitting/neverland club! Oh well, were still going to Disney right!

They number the calendar with days of Month, put a disney character picture on each day of the month and then hide them each with a different color Mickey Head.

So as I am reading other Pre Tr's I see everyone is making lists and their trips are months after mine So needless to say I figured I needed to get on it! Here is a list of things to do...

1. Print and decorate Mousekeeping envelopes.
2. Make a countdown calendar.
3. Finish Easter basket shopping for boys baskets.
4. Double check park hours
5. Week before print Steve Soares entertainment schedules.
6. Order water for delivery.(10 days out)
7. buy food/snacks to bring
*Fiber One bars
*Chocolate Chip granola bars
*gum
*plastic cups
*on the go coffee cups
*instant oatmeal packets
*fruit snacks
*plastic spoons
*goldfish crackers
8. confirm Magical Express there and back
9. print touring plans for MK and DHS
10. payoff trip
11. go through the boys clothes and see what fits and such.
12. make list of what to pack in carry on, due to our late arrival.
13. finish making vacation binder
14. tell boys teachers they will miss 3 days of school.

I think that its it for right now.

I am currently trying to plan out an itinerary with the calendar updates because of the Pirate and Princess Parties. I am soooo bummed. The Magic Kingdom will be closing early 4 out of the 10 nights we are there because of Grad nights and the P&PP. This makes planning a little more difficult. Also, our Ohana dinner is scheduled for late on a Grad night and I am curious about how the heck we will get back to POFQ if their is no bus transportation that night from MK? Oh, I love a good list- and that's a good one! I think at my 6 month mark I will make a list. That way, when I get the urge to plan, I can just pull out my list and do something. I have also decided to clean out a drawer in my dresser for Disney Vacation Stuff-- so I can have somewhere to store all my hard work and new vacation purchases. Thanks for all the ideas- you really got me thinking!!

Cleaning out a drawer for Disney stuff! Good Plan! 6 months is a good time to make lists, it coincides with the ADR mark!

WE HAVE CHANGED RESORTS!!!! Yes ladies and gentlemen we are now staying at

THE ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE

In keeping with the theme of me giving the mouse more money we have decided to do our part for the economy and upgrade Bryan and I kept saying how we would love to do a deluxe but it was only a dream and then we did our taxes and the result was much better than anticipated so we got an idea Hey lets crunch some #'s. Obviously the numbers crunched in our favor soooo 10 days and 10 nights here we come!


Please don't leave my Pre-TR because you all think I'm nuts! I promise this will be the last drama filled change, OK

Now that we upgraded to AKL I have changed the boys from the Neverland Club to Simba's Club House for the night that Bryan and I do our Anniversay dinner! Works out sooooo much better and I have read great reviews about it!

We have decided against La Nouba for this trip Hey there is only so much a girl could ask for right!

On a side note my AAA agent wants to CHOKE ME It will be a small miracle if we check in and everything goes smoothly with all my changes. Poor girl she still smiled at me today when I walked out of the office and said "Have a nice day"! At least she is getting well versed in all things Disney

That is fabulous! I can't wait to hear how you like it there. I've never even stepped inside the place. It's too bad about La Nouba but I agree that staying at the AKL makes up for it.

Aww thanks! I never thought we would be staying deluxe either but with the AAA discount it really helped us decide to go for it! Well that and our nice income tax refund!

Persistence pays off! I got an ADR again for Coral Reef! It wasn't for the original day I wanted but I just switched it with another night we will be in Epcot!

So now that were moving on to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, our trip is now a complete package for the entire length of stay. If you recall I had to book a room only for the arrival night because the AAA rate wasn't available for that additonal night. Now everything is all neat and tidy. We also added the dining plan for that additional night even though we won't use any of it on our arrival day because we will be arriving late. It will be a bonus later in the week though because we had scheduled an additional breakfast that we were going to out of pocket for. I also mentioned previously that we moved the boys from Neverland to Simba's Cub House which is right in the AKL itself Funny thing though...remember my whole cost, dilemma, dinner issue well Simba's only serves dinner from 5-7pm soooo a 7:00 arrival is no good So the boys will be dropped off at 6:30 after all and that will just cost us more..... at this point who the heck is counting anymore

Oh yeah................ Disney shopping was having 70% off their pins and I ordered 1 more for each of the boys! I got Matthew a Meet the Robinson's one, he loves that movie so it's probably not a pin he will trade and I ordered Eric a High School Musical Wildcats pin. He probably won't want to trade that one either The best part is shipping was free! I will post pictures of them when they come in!
