You don't say what type of tickets you have, but if you're buying a "single day" ticket for SW it would be more cost efficient to have your second "potential" day within 7 days of the first as you have to use the "2nd day free" within 7 days. I would also opt for at least one of the Disney waterparks over WetnWild. I'd probably exchange KSC for the other Disney waterpark depending how the first day went. I believe there is still stome access restrictions, although if it's a "one time only trip" I can understand why you would feel that KSC is an important destination for kids of the "space age".

What type of tickets do you have? and where are you staying ?
It's a pretty busy schedule, but not an impossible one. If you're all fairly healthy you should be OK, although you may need a holiday to get over it when you get back LOL ;)

I agree with Vernon - skip Wet 'n Wild... Typhoon Lagoon is much better IMOH and it wont kill your feet (what is it with Wet n Wild's pimply concrete that destroys your soles?)

I like KSC - tend to skip it some years - but I think its worth the drive. The IMAX presentations are very good.

Have you got 'Flex' tickets?

another vote for avoiding wet n wild, typhoon lagoon is a much better bet!

Are you doing spectro and Fits at MK??
Epcot Illuminations?

All excellent entertainment for the evening.

Jules

Hello Vernon & G02209,

Thanks for your responses.

The tickets we have are as follows:

14 day 5 park flex ticket
4-day Disney hopper.

We are staying in a villa (Grand Palm) in Kissimmee.

As we have teenagers, and the advice previously given we decided 4 days at Disney parks was sufficent.

The reason we have choosen Wet n Wild, is that it is included in the flex ticket. How much is single admission into Typhoon Lagoon ?

What does IMOH stand for ?

Means nothing... Well, other than I can't type! Should have been IMHO (In My Humble Opinion)

This is not to be confused with IHOP - which is a form of digestive torture.

Thanks !!

Which is best: Blizzard Beack or Typhoon Lagoon ?

How much is single day entry ?

Pity you went for the 4 day hopper - Last time I got the 5 Day Plus, which includes an extra of the waterparks and Pleasure Island. Admittedly, I have a day left on the tickets. Apparently they never expire...

Kicking myself now though as I intend to return in September - I should have bought APs last time, they would still be valid :(

I prefer Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island to CityWalk - not sure if PI is worth the money for a 17/15 yr old. I can spend hours drifting between the comedy club and adventurers... Actually, give them some dollars and leave them in DisneyQuest and experience PI for yourselves! Kungaloosh!

PS.
I don't have kids and don't pretend to know the first thing about parenting!

GO2209

You can foster my kids next time you go !!!!!!! lol.

Anyway thanks for your advice, I shall think about skipping WetnWild, and going for another water park.....depends on how the finance goes !!!

I think admission to Typhoon Lagoon is around $30 which is probably much more expensive than Wet n Wild. However, you can spend a day at Typhoon Lagoon - I don't think Wet n Wild will be quite so comfortable/captivating.

As for which is best... erm.. I'd go for TL, not sure why, just I seem to end up there. Not very logical, sorry.

There used to be another waterpark... Cannot remember its name. I wonder if Disney will ever resurrect it?

Thank you for offering your kids on loan!

However, as I (and the girlfriend) regress to childhood the moment we set foot inside 'the world' I am definitely not the best guardian!

Have a fantastic holiday and post a trip report when you get back - it reading other peoples experiences that keeps me ticking over until I next get to go!

Have a great 'vacation'

Something to keep in mind is that you can always 'skip' out to Wet and Wild in the afternoon of a Universal day - it's already included in the flex ticket, and once you've paid for parking at the Universal parks it's free at W&W as long as you keep the parking ticket. You'll have a nice chill out session and can always go back to the theme park after a couple of hours (works especially if the park is open late). Just a note here though - keep your swimming stuff in the car!

Hello Alison,

Yes the thought did cross my mind - going to 2 universal parks in one day.

Thanks
