(... and packing ... :woohoo: )

PS. I'm seriously considering flying down to WDW for the 24-Hour gig at the Magic Kingdom on Feb 29 ... ... I can get round trip flights from Atlantic City for $100 ... :dance3:and 20% off the room rate at All-Star Music ... :cool1: ... and survive on Power Bars, Granola, and Mickey Bars ... :lmao: ....

Whaddya think?

Should I start a PTR?

11 days !!

Love the Kermit shirts . SO cute and perfect for DHS ! :thumbsup2

I'm always nervous about telling school too. I make a point to try to have as perfect attendance as possible. This year they'll be missing 7 days but the principal was fine with it telling me to just make sure we bring reading material. :woohoo:

Aren't they so cute?! They had Animal ones, too! But they didn't have everyone sizes and the boys really loved the glow in the dark option! ;)

Glad it's not just me! Last trip, we took the kids out for 6 days, well don't you know, Lucas got sick and was out 3 days with a fever, etc. I got a letter from the school district because he missed 9 days of kindergarten! :scared1: While I know it's important, I also think that the schools have BIGGER issues than me taking my well behaved, good students out! Hope we don't get a red mark on his chart! :teacher:

Glad your principal was fine with you taking yours out! I always ask for work so they stay on top of things. I'm sending the letter Monday, wish me luck! :wizard:

11 days!!! :cool1:  :woohoo: :yay:

I wouldn't worry about pulling them out of school at their ages, I took my boys out when they were in elementary and it never hurt them. I'm probably going to pull Jared out for a few days in September to go if I can get the green light from my hubby :thumbsup2

I love that you surprised the boys with the trip, how much fun is that?!

8 now!!!!:dance3: Omg, can't believe it!

I'm with you, thankfully Ethan and Lucas are very good students, we got their 1st report cards before Christmas and I couldn't be any prouder of them!:thumbsup2 And the reality of it is, they are in 1st and 3rd grade! We have to spend this quality time with our children while we have them, before we know it, they'll be all grown up! :guilty:

Fingers crossed you get the green light from hubby for September!!!!!!!

Okay so in terms of the video, here's a good tutorial on how to upload a video to YouTube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O7iUiftbKU Hopefully that is helpful, as I think it explains it way better than I probably can over the internet.

Photobucket, which I've heard you can upload videos to as well, should work very similarly to how you upload your photos. I use my iPhone for videos, which allows me to upload directly from my phone wirelessly to my YouTube account. Not sure what kind of video camera you used but usually the software that comes with it should show you also how to upload to a website like YouTube (like my little Flip Cam had software that definitely gave me that option).

Hope that helps! Aside from that, it looks like you guys had a wonderful Christmas! So glad the boys loved the big surprise, though I feel like most kids have that type of reaction on Christmas. Too cute though that they were so excited to tell everyone. :cutie:

Love the Kermit shirts! What is funny is I bought for myself the same style of shirt from Walmart, but with the Aliens from Toy Story! I packed that t-shirt last night! I wanted to get Matt the Animal one (since that is his favorite Muppet) but they didn't have any XLs, just super big ones or smalls/mediums. :sad1: I might make one last swing by to Walmart before we leave to see if they have it, but I've checked twice now with no success.

So close to your trip! Lots to do, but you'll get it all done! :goodvibes

YOu are the best! I'm going to try that. The video is on my iPhone, which is newer to me, so I'm not that great at it and I'm sure you can tell I'm tech challenged! LOL! :rotfl: Every time I try to send it to photobucket it cuts it in half and says it's too long?! And I did upload it to my FB page on Christmas day no problem, so weird!

Love the T's you got, too! I saw them there, as well! :thumbsup2 I'm feeling very antsy over the fact we dont' have t's for every day! I'm always so well planned but with the holidays, Lucas bout of illness, ugh! Have you been checking the weather? I'm a bit stressed on how to pack and so impressed you already are!!!!

Can you believe how close we are?!!:yay:

Yea for 11 days!

The Kermit shirts are adorable!

I'm so excited for you! Can't wait to hear the final plans (if you have time to post them!) I've missed being here. Your PTR has inspired me to finish my old TR! Maybe soon!

Keep us posted and don't stress about packing. ONce you get there, it won't even matter. Bring layers, and be ready to have a good time!!!! :wizard:

Thank you!! They boys loved them and had to have them! They will look so cute!!:cutie:

So glad you're back on DIS!! It's hard to keep up here with real life, isn't it? I'm not here nearly as much as I WANT to be! I'm updating!! Stay tuned!!:thumbsup2

So glad to hear Lucas is doing better. I'm glad you all got ot enjoy Chrsitmas break together. Brian has been off or working from home the last 4 weeks so it is going to be very lonely around the house for Zavier and I when he goes back on Monday.

I think the boys shirts are too neat. Anything that glows in the dark gets 5 stars from me!! :thumbsup2 We have decided to make shirts for this trip. Last time we made them but only wore them for bed, I think this time they will get some park time. We are going to TRY to make the tie dye Mickey and a few iron ons. I really hope they turn out but definitely am not going to hold my breath.

I think you made a good decision with the stroller. I think it is crazy that that Maclarens tip like that. When Bri and I were at Babies R Us I was shocked when I did the diaper bag test and it quickly fell over..that would drive me crazy. I ended up finding a Joovy Kooper in great condition on Craigslist for 90 so we bought it and I absolutely love it so far. We also bought the rain cover off Amazon yesterday just in case and I think we could always put it on if it is a little chilly to keep the wind off Zavier.

Wow that is a TON of gift cards! I would love to have that under my tree next year. We only plan to buy ears,an ornament, and Zaviers haircut so far so we wont need a whole lot of spending money...I hope. Luckily Zavier isnt at an age where he asks for much other than milk:rotfl2:

Your surprise sounded like it went awesome. I'm sure the boys just loved it. Not sure how you are going to top it next year. Disney cruise perhaps lol ( would love a Disney cruise but man they are expensive!!)

Hey there! So glad Brian was home and you enjoyed some time as a family this holdiay season with Zavier's 1st Christmas! I'd love to see pics of him!!!:cutie:

I know, we were spoiled with gift cards! Every time any one asked what they could get the boys for Christmas I said Disney gift cards! SO glad they listened!:thumbsup2 They didn't need anything more to open and they will be SO psyched to pick out there own things they "need" to have in the parks, although, I hope we have room to bring it all home! :rotfl: I'm with you, I don't usually get a lot of souvies for myself, usually an ornament, too, and last time I got a bead for my Pandora bead, I love the day to day things to remind me of my special place!:cloud9:

And I'm with you girl, so thinking Disney cruise next!:thumbsup2 I was just pricing the New England/Canada cruise for a client and without air, it was comparable for us to do that cruise....my wheels are spinning and I've already planted the seed with Todd! ;)

So excited (and extremely jealous)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Single Digits! Single Digits!

Um. . .did I mention I *might* fit in your suitcase! Please take me with you!

You know me too well! LOL!! :rotfl: That's about where I am right about now!! But it always comes together!:thumbsup2

PS. I'm seriously considering flying down to WDW for the 24-Hour gig at the Magic Kingdom on Feb 29 ... ... Should I start a PTR?

And I love it, perfect Disney planning in my book! I say DO IT!!:thumbsup2 I'll be your 1st reader, get going, you're on borrowed time!!:cool1:

colecountdownchains.jpg

So my littlest guy, Cole, wasn't grasping how many more days until Disney. He kept saying "One more sleep, right Mommy?"...no, not yet, sweetie!:cutie: So I just made a quick ring countdown this morning for him, it's nothing special but enough for a 4 year old to "get" and we put some Disney stickers on it to make us happy. This way every night before bed he can take a ring off and visually see how many more days, otherwise this week would reallllly drag! :rotfl:

I ran to Target yesterday to pick up some things for the trip, the all essential ponchos, some mini sized shampoos, hand sanitizer, that sort of thing. Of course I remember a lot of other things I should have picked up once I got home, isn't that always the way?! Any guesses on how many trips I'll be making to Target this coming week?! :rotfl:

I have also recruited our 6 year old neighbor to feed the cat, with the amount of money we're paying for Ruby (our puggle) to stay in the pet resort next week, we needed someone who would be happy with a few bucks taking care of our cat! :rotfl: And he feels like a big boy helping, so it's a win-win all around!

On other notes, we've changed some things up a little...what would a trip be without some changes?! With the new dining changes they made for 2012 on what they will cover, we decided to see if we could get a ressie at The Rainforest Cafe in AK, well, much to my surprise, we did! So instead of Yak & Yeti on our 1st day for dinner, we're doing that, I think the boys will it enjoy it SO much more! :thumbsup2 I will be honest, I'm a bit nervous about getting to AK so late in the day that day, hope we can get on the big attractions!

I can't believe a week from now I'll be running around like a chicken with my head cut off packing, cleaning, getting the dog to the resort, yay!!!:dance3:

Happy weekend, friends!

We love RFC ! Last time we went to the one in AK and it wasn't very busy at all .. got in right away without a ressie. But it's better to be safe knowing you have an ADR. :goodvibes

The last week is always the longest .. yet shortest week ! It seems like it last forever but you'll be on your way before you know it.

OMG! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the short litttle chain!!! That is such a great way for them to "get it" at that age!
I think you are way more organized than you probably feel...you have done a TON!!! You will have a blast!
Can't wait to chat! About this trip...DVC...among other things. Also, looking to get details about this doggy spa...when you get back of course. No stressing...YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Caught up again, just in time! :yay:

Loved the surprise!!! Have you tried YouTube for the video? It's easier than Photobucket I think!

Joe is doing the Target run for our trip today. I need to make his list yet! We shall see how many things I forget.

Rainforest Cafe is fun! The food wasn't as good, IMO, but the atmosphere is awesome. Henry (and Joe and I!) really enjoyed it. We spent a lot of time in the gift shop too!

Hello! Just found your PTR and loving it! Fun to see your little guys. I'm a boy mama too - 2 of them, ages 14 and 17. Love them, love them, but they are definitely growing up waaayy too fast! So, it is with much joy (and a bit of wistfulness) that I read about you planning for/with your boys. :goodvibes

We've been to WDW 4x and DL 1x and have taken them out of school for all but one trip. Three of our trips were in Januarys - which, IMO is the best time of all to be in FL or CA! Those days are over ~ too hard to take kids out of high school ~ so enjoy it while you can. :goodvibes Soak in the fun and store away those memories. :)

FYI, we live in the Midwest, but we also vacation in Marshfield - just up the road from you! Hoping to get out there this summer, but will depend on everything else that is already filling up the summer calendar!

Have a fabulous time!!! Can't wait to read your TR when you return!

Oh, btw, one thing my "big" boys like to do is wear their Red Sox clothing at WDW - inevitably someone comes along with a high five and that makes their day! :)

ONE WEEK!!!!!:cheer2:
Just about a week from this moment we land at MCO! I told the boys this morning and they were jumping up and down! We all did the 5 more days of school and work, 1 cub scout meeting, 2 basketball games, 1 PTO meeting dance!:dance3: WOOHOO!!!!!

Todd and I were laying in bed last night talking our plan of attack on Sunday morning next week...it seemed like a fabulous idea to book the 6a flight but when you talk about it in reality, yikes! :scared1: We are getting up at 2-2:30a, leaving 3-3:30a, heading to park and shuttle, to Logan and figure we'll be through security about 4:45 (Todd's math) with an hour and a half to find some breakfast somewhere in the airport and do our potty breaks. We should be EXHAUSTED this time next week! LOL! :rotfl: I'll be runnin on Dunkins for sure!:thumbsup2 I'm hoping to just pack the car Saturday afternoon, have a super early dinner (4ish?), bath the kids, and get them to bed by 6:30-7 (I'll change clocks if I have to! ;)) and hope that Todd and I get to bed by 8 or so so we can get a full night sleep in before traveling. I was second guessing having a dinner ressie at 5:15, instead of doing a counter just on the run but I think we'll be running on adrenaline and we'll just head back to AsMu and do showers and call it a day early!

We took the boys swimming yesterday at a local resort that has a Pirate ship pool pirate:, my parents surprised us with passes and the boys swam for 3 hours straight, they didn't stop! They had so much fun, I hope it's warm enough for them to swim some in Florida but it seems like it's going to be chilly at night, but kids never seem to mind, so we'll see. I think I'll just pack one swimsuit for each of us, just in case.

I guess it's officially time to pull out our suitcases!:dance3: Have a great Sunday, my Disney friends!

By the way, had to show you what I made on Facebook, isn't it cute?! It was an app they had on there for free. The boys (and I) had SO much fun picking ourselves out!:lovestruc It's the little things in life....:rotfl:

Oh that's good to know, I couldn't believe that I got a ressie when I wanted it, this close!:thumbsup2 The park closes at 5p, so we'll head out and make our reservation afterwards, should work out well. We ate there (at DTD) our 1st trip with the boys (they were 4, 2, and 12 weeks!) and Lucas (my middle guy) was soooo scared, but I think, and hope, that now that he's 7 he can handle it!:rotfl:

You're SO right...so much to do, so little time, it will FLY but be soooo long, too!

OMG! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the short litttle chain!!! That is such a great way for them to "get it" at that age!

Thanks Leighan! Cole loves the chain! I tucked him in last night and he was waiting for Todd to go in and kiss him goodnight and he came flying downstairs in a tisey, Mommy, we forgot to take off a Mickey chain! So he's on top of it!:thumbsup2

You need to let me know your schedule this week so we can chat before I go!!! SO much to catch up on!!:cloud9:

And the doggy spa is at our vet office....too far for you, it's here in Plymouth, so that would be too much for you, I would think!

And I know, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caught up again, just in time! :yay:

YAY, so glad you're here!! Thanks Brook, I'll try that!:thumbsup2

Your trip is closer than mine, can't wait to see your pics of DLR!:woohoo:

I hear you on RFC, I agree, I just thought the kids would think the atmosphere was the coolest, and for us being so tired, that's what will count that night. I'm glad to hear you guys liked that part of it! It's been almost 5 years since we've been. And those gift shops are bad things...lol!:rotfl:

Thanks for catching up before I go!

Hello to another baby boy Mommy!! SO glad you're here!!! Love my boys, they keep me on my toes for sure, make me crazy, make me fall in love with them every day and always love their Mom!! Nothing better!! We're so lucky aren't we?! I can't even imagine mine as teenagers, although I know it will be here before I know it! It's nice to hear you say to enjoy them, that's what we try to do...everyone laughs at us and how many time we've taken the kids to Disney, it's our thing, it's what we ALL love to do, and can we use that money elsewhere, you bet you! But to us, it's all about the memories!:cloud9:

I'm so glad that you really love January for your trips! I went as a teenager in January, but that was a few years ago!:rotfl: So I don't quite remember it. I'm figuring layers for packing? T shirts/jeans/hoodies? I'm wearing flip flops, after all we're in Florida and it will be a lot warmer there than here in MA! or it better be!:thumbsup2

So funny that you vacation in Marshfield, you really are right up the street from me! We love the Marshfield fair in August every year!! Is that when you come up?

And LOVE that you are sporting your Red Sox gear!:yay::thumbsup2 I think they will definately be making our trip, too! The problem here is Todd is a Phillies fan, being that's where he is from, so my boys sport both! You will probably notice that in my pics from my future TR!

So gald you're here, thanks for reading!!!:goodvibes
