I am just curious where everyone vacations besides WDW. I am looking for some place else to go. Here's the catch......DH isn't really fond of the beach (however I love it) and I DO NOT ski. That's why we love WDW because it's a wonderful compromise.

If you don't go to WDW where else do you go?

I have done a bit of travelling, been to Las Vegas just me and DH twice, absolutely love it. Last year we toured the east coast of Canada, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

We like Vegas. It's been 2 years though. We need to go back.

I'd like to get Chris interested in a trip to Boston. I enjoyed my solo trip there. He really wants to do a road trip up to Chicago and take in some ball games along the way.

Usually Colorado in the summer....... although this year it's Alaska.

This is our off-season from Disney, so we are heading to Cleveland. We even got tickets to a ballgame. There seems to be alot of things to do in Cleveland...Pro Football Hall of Fame, Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, Amish Country and not too far away...Cedar Point! Yeah!
Our past off-season trips included Hilton Head, Colonial Williamsburg and cruising!

We go horseback riding in Montana for a week every year.

We went to Disney in June, this month we'll be going to RI (Westerly, for the beach) for 3 nights and in August we'll be going to Maine (Ogunquit) for 3 nights. Our kids are still young - 4 & 8 - but once they are older I would like to see more of this country.

just came from spending the past 4days in NHs White Mtns
Next Fri (18th) till the 24th we're spending 6nights in Seabrook/Hampton, NH
Then in Aug DS & I go camping 3 nights in Maine

DH and I took our last little anniversary vacation to New Orleans LA. It was only a three hour drive and it was quite the enjoyable trip. I never realized how "neat" the city really was until spending 3 days and 2 nights there. It's something we'll have to do again within the next year or so, but right now, the trip home to SC is first and foremost on our list. :D

We're going to Sedona, AZ this year. I keep planning the next Disney trip more than the upcoming Sedona one though.

We did Vegas last month and even tho we love Disney, Vegas was a nice "other" vacation!:smooth:

Is there any amusement park that can even come close to WDW or DL? With WDW it's one stop shoppping ... everything is right there. I am looking for something that could last a week. I am due in September and by the next time we are able to take a vacation the baby will be 1 yoa and dd will be 3. I am just looking for some place different for a weeks vacation. I think I could talk DH into going to someplace that has a beach, but with a really nice city and things to do besides go to the beach and fish (which he doesn't do either). We live just outside of Ocean City, MD which is a beach resort and in our opinion (probably because we live and work here and know the ins and outs) isn't all that great. I remeber as a kid going to Panama City, FL and Myrtle Beach and having a lot of fun. I know that both have grown in size in the past 15 years so there's probably more to do, but have they grown less desirable also? I would love to go to Texas or any of the other gulf states. Actually, any state below Maryland would be nice. I live for warm weather!

There is tons to do in SoCal. Beaches, theme parks, zoos. Well more than a weeks worth. And it is only a day's drive to Vegas!

There is Legoland, San Diego Zoo, Tiajuana, Beaches, Knott's berry farm, water parks, Six flags magic mountain, Catalina island...I could go on and on!! And if you haven't been to Disney california, it is worth a stop too.

If you rent a car, it is pretty easy to get around!

Or you could come up my way.......nice cold, windy beaches, nice hikes in the green rainy woods....LOL. But we do have pretty good skiing here and at whistler!

PARIS

You won't find a more romantic city in the world:D

DH and I went to Myrtle Beach in June. A friend bought a condo in Amelia Island, FL and we are doing a girls' trip there July 18. Can't wait-2 beach vacations this summer and went to Disney in April! Life is good!!

We are leaving in two days, taking the family and heading to ARUBA!!! Can't wait! I am so long overdue for this trip.

Besides WDW, we take annual trips to Las Vegas and New Orleans. In the last few months also went to Vancouver, Canada and Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

I like traveling to "big" cities, since I love to shop and sightsee... My picks are usually DC, Chicago, Montreal (great exchange rate!) and London. My boyfriend is from New Hampshire, so he tries to make me go camping with him, but I have yet to give in to his wishes :p

I'm a mountains girl. You don't have to ski to enjoy the mountains. :) For me, it's Colorado, Yellowstone, etc. I also enjoy a pretty desert environment like the painted desert or the Grand Canyon and redrock country.

If you want more civilization, there's Las Vegas. :)
