I was talking in general what the rule would be. But, the special assessment I am talking about would be charged to all owners of closed resorts and if they went that route, owners wanting to travel during the time the resort remain closed would not be allowed to use points at other DVC. It is one of the options listed under interruption of use in the POS.
For example, say VGC was to remain closed for an additional 2 months. The condo association for VGC could decide to put owners who want to travel in those 2 months up at a hotel, and the charge for that hotel would be billed to all owners of VGC
I agree that short term closure..a week or two,,of one or two would not trigger this but If you are talking a month or more,..or several not open, it makes it much messier to deal with,
It could be why they may be waiting to open all at the same...or similar time,
