Other than a ticket, what do you need to pay for in DL?

Purchases in the stores, food/drink,.... was their a carnival game place, and if so do you need to pay to play those games or was that in DCA? Been to both park years ago, so I need a refresher.

Food, drinks, souvenirs, arcades, popcorn, balloons, wishing well are what comes to my mind.

Boardwalk games are in DCA and yes they are pay to play. They have machines out in front that you put money in and it pops out a card that you scan at each game.

We polished some pennies for the pressed penny machines. We had those and a bag of quarters ready to go for when we spotted a machine.

Lockers are something you need to pay for and the price varies by size. Other guest services like wheelchair rental need a refundable deposit, plus a payment for the renting fee.

You will have to pay for everything except rides and entertainment.
Disneyland transportation is not free to the resort (from hotels or the airport), but the transportation inside the resort is included.

I would include the transportation in the "rides" category. We have been on virtually all of the transportation vehicles offered (train, omnibus, horseless carriage, horse-drawn trolley, river boat, sailing ship, monorail, etc.) and have only needed the park admission ticket to enjoy these attractions. Even the trams and buses between the parks and the parking lots don't have any charge. Of course the parking lots themselves do charge. But if you wanted to hop on the tram to go check out the Mickey and Friends parking structure and then go right back, you could do so for free, even without park admission tickets.

The Omni bus and all Mainstreet cars are free, you must pay for the ART bus, from an off sight hotel, or airport transportation.

Whoops...I was thinking about transportation from airports to the parks. Sorry for the mistake...

Yes!...The transportation IN Disneyland is included in your ticket purchase.

Great, the omni bus and the main street cars both look like a nice way to get a break from walking, and a nice way to see the area :goodvibes
