Other "Magical Moments" or Where The Magic Lives Certificates

Not sure if it's exactly the same thing, but my DD got a special certificate since her first haircut was at the WDW barbershop. The woman who did her hair - Billie - really made it special for her and DD still talks about it 2 years later! :flower:

My DS got one last year at the pin store in DTD. They had some kind of memory game he played. When he one they gave him a certificate and a pin.

I could read these kind of threads all day! Disney can make ANYTHING a MAGICAL experience! :flower:

What wonderful memories for all of you! :goodvibes

I have to say, I am so anxious for this trip to begin. I came from a dysfunctional home and we didn't go anywhere as a family. We were too busy keeping the deep dark secret of my father's alcoholism and my brother's drug addiction, from the world. Those are my childhood memories. The only magic was when Santa came. Everyone behaved at Christmas.

I now have two boys and when we go in December they will be 6 and 4. My husband thinks it is crazy to cry everytime I think of this trip, but I want it to be something so incredibly magical that they will forever remember it. I want their whole lives to be magical and not remember horrible things from when they were little.

The little nametags that you can get so the CMs pay extra attention to the children (if I can find some - they are out again), having Pal Mickey's waiting in the room with each of their names on them, hopefully having really cool Disney hats with ears to sneak to the stewardess and have her come "find" the recipients that Mickey sent the hats for, and these certificates. This is the pixie dust I'm looking for. I want to be able to just dump buckets of pixie dust on their little heads and have it never go away.

What a blessing for all these children to have the special memories to take away. It's not really just a family vacation, is it?

Thank you for these wonderful magical threads.

Mary

We have two :flower:
A few years ago, our family was picked to open Magic Kingdom. This was at the gates at the TTC... we led the countdown for the gates to open, and were escorted to ride in the front of the monorail.

The other one was for being the first family on Space Mountain. We were waiting at rope drop, and the CM picked us and escorted us there.

My daughters were thrilled both times princess:

My family was purchasing dessert one night at MK and my daughter, then seven said. "I want to pay for the ice cream because you are the best mommy and daddy.""
So cute, she took out her Hello Kitty wallet, paid, and the CM's awarded her with a Magical Moments certificate, which they all signed. :sunny:

This is so sweet....brought tears to my eyes.

We got one at the Restaurantosaurus. We did not eat breakfast before we left our resort, we were starving. It did not open until 11:00. At about 10:35, we went and parked it on the patio. At 10:45, a CM came out and asked us if we were eating there....I was about to get upset because I thought she was going to tell us to move...:teeth:...we said yes, smiled at her and she asked what our last name was...we told her and about 5 minutes later, she came back and got us, brought is in, they took our picture in front of a big Carnotaur sign, took our order and took us to a special table. They brought our food to us, along with the picture they took and the magical moment certificate, signed by Donald, Mickey, Pluto and Goofy. It was truly an awesome experience.

turned two last summer at WDW, we walked into the MK that evening and I went to Guest Relations to get her a birthday button. The cast member asked who it was for. I said, "My DD who is turning two today." She said, "Where is she?" I told her she was out meeting some characters.

She proceded to come out from behind the desk to go meet my DD and give her the button.

Well, DD had on a hand smocked "Happy Birthday" dress and a Cinderella birthday crown that she had just gotten from the dinner at 1900 Park Fair. The cast member went wild over my DD! :goodvibes

She asked if we had a minute. I said yes. She then proceeded to ask my DD if she liked the Princesses. My DD calls them the "Princess Girls", so her response was, "I LOVE Princess Girls!" ::yes::

The Cast Member got an even bigger smile on her face! She said, "I'll be right back!"

Well, about five minutes passed and here she came with a Magical Moments Certificate, but there was something really special about it...It had been signed by Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, and Tinkerbell! :bounce: Also, attached to it was a Cinderella II movie collectable pin! :flower:

My two year old hugged and kissed the cast member as if she were a Princess herself! :love1: It was great! I started to cry and my DH and I both hugged her too! It was so truly a MAGICAL MOMENT!

We were the 100th Family of the Day at the Plaza Restaurant at MK. :) The Mayor of Main St. came in the restaurant and called our names, we stood up to greet him, he announced us as the 100th Family of the day, we had a free 8x10 picture taken of us with him, we all got free dessert, and a Magical Moment certificate. :) Now we always eat lunch there because we enjoy watching a family get picked each time. :)

We have 2 of them. Both for being picked as the family that opens Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. We were picked in 2002, & in 2003.

We got one last year for the very same thing. :)

I gave them out at Splash when I was there. you got one if you were the first rider of the day, and periodically we would go out at preview, pick a cute family and ask disney trivia to the kids. I f the kids got 5 questions right they got a free picture and a magical moments certificate

Our first trip in November 2002 at MK, My son and I were killing time in the little shop that's themed around the Seven Drawfs while Daughter and DH were riding Dumbo. They have a table with all kinds of different jewels and he was telling me all the different ones he would buy if he could. A cast member came up, gave him a little bag and said, "Fill her up. It's my treat." You would have thought they were real jewels from the look in my son's eyes. The CM gave him a magical moment certificate and he was on cloud nine for the rest of the day.
In October 2004 in Epcot, the custodial staff gathered a bunch of children including my daughter as we waited for Illuminations in frront of Japan. He told them it was Epcot's birthday and they were chosen to help blow out the candles. They all blew together at the first of Illumnations when the torches go out. She recieved a Magical Moments certificate from that.
Magic keeps us going back.

I didn't see this one mentioned yet. My DD8 and DD16months and I were waiting at the exit of TOT (where you see your pictures) for my DH and DS5 to finish their ride so we could go on. Two of the bell hops came over and asked if DD8 could help them out because it was her birthday. She said "no thank you" because she is very shy but I made her do it anyway. They dressed her up as a junior bell hop and she got to wave to the people as they left the elevator. Imagine my DH's surprise when he saw his little princess waving to him in bell hop attire as he exited his ride. He said he did a triple take. They gave her a magical moment certificate for being a junior bell hop. If I knew how to post pictures I would .

My DD8 and DS5 each got another one at the CRT breakfast because they were both celebrating their birthdays. All of the princesses signed each one for them. Truely Magical!!!!

I have not seen our type of "Magical Moment" mentioned.
Last early Dec. we were in a shop at MGM looking around. The M's were trying on silly hats etc. I noticed a lady watching me and my first thought was she was unhappy that we allowed the girls to try on the hats. The lady came up to me and asked if I would like to have a "Magical Moment". Being the skeptic that I am I asked her what that was. I thought I knew everything from our numerous trips and from these boards and I had never heard of that. She asked us to sign the "Magical Moments" guestbook and then we got to go out and have one of the photographers take our picture.
We all got together (Me, DH, 2 DD's, my Mother, Dad and my MiL) and we were the official "Magical Moments family of the day".
We picked up our free 8x10 picture that was on display at the photography shop later.
It was quite fun!
