Other cruise line for Alaska?

We did the DCL for our Alaska trip but a lot of people we met on the ship previously cruised Holland and they said it was great

We did not. Are there questions you have about ports or the ship?

I don't know enough to really ask particular questions. After reading this thread, I was looking at the HAL site but I couldn't seem to find a way to price out 4 people in a cabin. So I went to Cruise Critic and the review of the HAL ship I was looking at (the Westerdam) rated only 3/5 for children. Two of the Princess ships rated better (4/5), but all of this seems so subjective. I guess I'm floundering around looking for opinions.

This thread *has taught me that I want a one way cruise into/out of Vancouver and a few land days seeing the Alaskan interior. I just wish there were a magical answer for a ship that does that itinerary, is reasonably priced, doesn't nickle and dime on board, has wonderful food, does Glacier Bay and the Junior Ranger program, and is pleasant for my tweens. Not much to ask LOL ;)

I don't know if this link will transfer. NCL is offering different "free at sea" perks for sailing. We find the dining room and buffet to be just fine, but we eat specialty if we get a free perk.

The three ports have lots of free sightseeing or you can pay for tours. I am not familiar with the Junior Ranger program.

I can say we sailed on other NCL cruises and our nieces and nephew enjoyed the kids programs.
