OT would you use a pink carseat for a boy baby?

I don't know if I would use the pink car seat cover on a boy but I would use blue on a girl easily.

I know my dh wouldn't like it either.

Can you possibly dye it?

I think it would be silly to buy a new carseat because the old one is the wrong color. We bought a pink infant seat when I was pg with #3. As we were walking out, I joked that the ultrasound had better be right because otherwise we'd have a boy in a pink carseat. My five year old daughter looked at me like I was insane and said, "So what Mom?" Pretty wise little girl

We are adopting and hoping for a boy, and we will be putting him that same pink seat.

Tell your husband that a hundred years ago, pink was for boys and pale blue was for girls. People said that pink was a version of red, and red was too strong a color for weak girls :0

What style of Graco car seat is it? I am just wondering if you could check Craigslist or yard sales for a boy version of the same seat? I would never use a car seat that I wasn't sure had never been in an accident, but you could just switch out the cover. There should be instructions on how to take off the cover in case it gets dirty. If you can tell me the model, I will be on the lookout as well.

You could always buy the bigger seat sooner rather than later. Most of them are convertible and can be used from birth on. Then use the pink car seat as a carrier.

I had a similar idea. You could also try posting on your local craigslist that you want to trade the fabric parts for more boyish colors. You might be able to find someone in the reverse situtation (had a boy, now having a girl). If you both have the same type of seat, you can switch just the fabric parts. Each person keeps their own seat, so they know it is safe and accident free, but you each get the other color.
