OT: Where to eat while visiting Rockefeller Center in NY?

Thanks a bunch, you guys are great, so much information :thumbsup2

Has anyone ever ate at Rock Center Cafe @ Rockefeller Center?

Serendipity is another great place to eat, you will NEED resies. It's not that close to Rockeflle center, IMHO it's worth the LOOONG walk or cab ride. If it doen't work fo you I also concur that Marrs 2112 is great

I second Serendipity....while I think all the other places are good, there is something special about this place. Also, if you walk up to Second Avenue, you will find tons of restaurants with good food and great prices. Blockheads, a mexican restaurant, was always one of our favorite spots. Up the block was a chinese restaurant that had good lunch specials as well.

If you want to avaoid traipsing all around the city there are a bunch of pubs in the area.

Connolly's has a nice upstairs dining area. (www.connollyspubandrestaurant.com) Located on 54th street between 5th and 6th ave. The food is well priced and much less crowded than any place within in the immediate area. :yay:

For more good pizza try Angelo's - it's on Broadway between 53rd and 54th and it's right next door to The Late Show with David Letterman. My friends and I eat there pretty often when we go into the city to see a show.

We ate there during our August trip. The food and the service were good, and since it was summer, we were outside right by the fountain. It's pricey and I wouldn't take children.

We were just in the city yesterday to see the Gazillion Bubble show. We went to see the tree and then ate at John's pizza. The pizza was very good, the wait was less than 10 minutes. One thing though...they don't offer free refills on drinks LOL. Also, you cannot purchase just a slice of pizza..you have to buy a whole pie. I would go back but DH says he wouldn't.

Here's yet another vote for John's. We go there everytime we are in the City.
