I had this discussion, quite by accident, with some family members and was shocked by what I found out. Personally, I do. I don't feel clean just soaping up and no real scrubbing. What do you guys do??

This is just for fun.

I would vote other. I don't use a washcloth, but I do use a shower loofah thing. (Isn't that what those net things are called?) I don't feel clean just using a washcloth b/c I like the amount of suds that the loofah produces.

I do not use a facecloth, but a poufie thingmacallit :lmao: ...I use soap wash, not a bar, so this is great for it..

I voted yes but I can't remember the last time I used an actual washcloth. I use my squishy poof thingy.

I voted yes, but I don't use a washcloth, either. I use a scrub brush. Before I got married I read an article about using scrub brushes on your behind and leg area to help minimize any cellulite accumulation. I thought, what the heck, let me give it a try. I've been using a scrub brush for over 17 years and it seems to be working. I know genetics also play a role, but I sincerely think it has helped.
Also, scrub brushes help slough off your dead skin. I even bring my scrub brush on vacation because I do not feel clean at all, especially on my back, if I do take a quick shower and forget to use it.

I also use a shower puff thing.

Yes, washcloth user here.

For those that soap up without washcloths or a shower puff, how do you get *ahem* certain areas clean?

When we traveled out of the country last year, I was so surprised to learn that hotels don't automatically provide washcloths as they are considered personal items. I guess we should have brought them ourselves? Luckily, the hotel did provide them if we requested them.

I use a fresh clean washcloth every time. I have a ton of washcloths. I was never a fan of the stuff that hung in the tub and used over and over. However, if a brush can really help eliminate cellulite (I don't have a lot, buy hey if it helps). I may have to get over it and convert!

I need to add that I am indeed a scrubber. I like body washes with the little beads in them. Right now, I cheaped out and bought a lotiony soft body wash and now my skin is ashy and pasty. Blech. I like Caress Tahitian Retreat with the little beads in them. It's good at getting the dead skin off.

i've been in a mixed marriage for 16 years-i'm a washcloth user, DH is a soaper.

Scrubber here! 'm another who uses a fresh washcloth every time I shower. I don't like poufs/loofahs etc. because how do you clean them??

I throw mine in the washing machine. I actually have three different ones and I switch them out. Never occurred to me NOT to send it through the wash :confused3

I don't like the washes with the beads in them as they seem to get stuck on the bottom of the tub. It's too much of a pain to make a special effort to make sure they all rinse down the drain before I get out, so I stopped using those kinds. My poof is enough exfoliation for me without the beads.

Scrubber. I have a fresh stack of washclothes by the bathroom and I just grab one whenever I jump in the shower.

I'm a poofy scrubber thing user.

To those who asked about how sanitary that is. I assume the soap helps to some extent, and I throw it out and replace it about the same time as my tooth brush.

I don't know that I'd want to use a scrubby for the down-under, either. Ouch! :rotfl:

I occasionally use a poofy-thingymabobber. Usually I use a washcloth and sometimes not. I've read that it's better not scrub down south with soap because it can be irritating. I'm not an expert in this department, however. ;)

:rolleyes1 The last time this question was asked, I was called a 'dirty foreigner'... (well, actually, I have been called that on a number of threads on a number of boards here, but this question is actually about cleanliness)

Nope, never have. Most of the rest of the world does not, and I know that when Americans travel in Europe we often hear about the lack of washcloths in hotels, unless they have significant American business.... Hands do the job just fine. I actually own a number of Disney themed washcloths as people often give me those super shrunken ones. I use them to clean the bathroom (like that ever happens! - I am only home a few weeks a year)

And I smell clean and fresh, thank you very much! ;)

Ok, I am the only hand user I see who dared to post an answer!! Where are the other 15 of you non-washcloth users??? Why are you letting me take the heat? :rotfl2:
