OT: Thinking of getting a ceramic glass radiant heat stovetop?

I had a smoothtop for years before moving into this house that had gas hook-up. I'll admit without a moment's hesitation that I'd go back to a smoothtop in a second if I could. It's a lot faster to clean up & no extra parts for food to get trapped in if something spills.

I like mine because it blends in with my granite and for a slide-in, it gave it a more built-in, flush, look.

The only thing I don't care for, is that pots and pans slide all over it when you're cooking. You have to hold the pot while you stir. Another thing - although minor - is that it shows dust.

Mine is a Frigidaire Professional Series. Here's a photo:

Thanks and thanks!

Honestly, I'd have gas if I could, but my house had a significant gas leak under the slab of my island and I wasn't about to let them rip up my wood floors to get to it.

I just had them cap it off in the attic. Now it'll always be electric for me. :sad2:

I love my smooth top! I reccommend Mr. Clean erasers for cleaning the surface after the mess has dried on. They work great for me.
