I was thinking of ordering some of these shoes for my trip to Maui in 2 weeks. Has anyone had these and did you like them and what is the best price for them?

Thanks:)

My husband has a pair and he says they are very comfortable. He got the ones with bottle openers on the bottom. :sad2: And paid too much for them, I'm sure.

I have a pair of black flip flops. I purchased them at least 4 or 5 years ago. During summer, I wear them all the time (whenever I'm not working). So far, they are holding up great and are super comfy. I definitely consider them money well spent. I recently saw them for a great price at Marshalls, if you have one near you, it might be worth checking out.

I love them! I have probably 5 or 6 different colors of the "Sandy" flops. The only thing with them is that the sole (or where your foot sits) soaks up water. I don't wear them in the rain or if they're going to get wet because they get sort of gross to walk in when they're wet. They're the most comfortable flip flops though!! I pay between $20-24 depending on where I get them.

I wouldn't buy the ones with the hideaway for your keys ("Stash") or the ones with the "church key" (can't remember the name) as they aren't as comfortable because there is something in the sole. My personal favorites are either the "Slap" or the "Leather Slap." They are the most comfortable flip flop I've owned and I own quite a few pair. My last pair of leather slaps I got last weekend at a local surf shop and paid $38 for them. Absolutely worth it as I wear them all day/every day.

The only time I don't wear them is either a fancy restaurant or church!

UH OH - I wear my Sandy's to church :) They're plain black.

I have 2 pairs of Reef Bitsy's and they are great. Totally waterproof. The only thing is I can't find them anywhere other than Ebay so I'm assuming they're discontinued. I love Reefs and wear them all the time.

As a matter of fact, I ordered my first pair of Reef Sandals
a few weeks ago and I have worn them everywhere since
I got them! :thumbsup2

I ordered mine from Zappos.com...Mine are the Reef Slaps.
I read the reviews on Zappos about these and they are
just as comfortable as the reviews say they are. I have never
had a pair of flip-flops this comfortable. They also provide support.

I have the color black...but now, I want a pink pair. The pink are
so pretty.

Zappos is great. My Reefs were almost $42...but shipping is free and
if they didn't fit or I didn't like them...Zappos would have paid for the
shipping for me to exchange them.

Good Luck...

OK, I admit that I do have a pair of "dress" flip flops. Black leather, but they aren't Reefs. In fact, I have no idea what brand they are, but I wear them with my pants suits and some of my more casual dresses.

As far as being waterproof, the regular Slaps are completely waterproof. Mine have been everywhere! The leather Slaps have a real leather top part, and I haven't gotten them wet...yet. But I'm sure I will, and I'm sure they will be fine.

P.S. - the pink ones are REALLY cute!

Love my Reefs! I pay $40 for their version of a flip flop. :thumbsup2

I absolutely love my Reefs! They are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever owned. I got mine for $35 from Sport Chalet.

If I wear a size 8 1/2, should I buy a size 8 or a size 9?

I love my Reefs and my Teva Mush flip-flops!!!

I wear them everywhere!! They are the state shoe of Hawaii, lol!

I love my Reefs and my Teva Mush flip-flops!!!

Are the Reefs any more comfortable than the Mush? I wear nothing but the Teva Mush but hearing everyone talk about the Reefs I'm tempted to try a pair of the slaps.

If anyone is interested, they still have a few left in black in a few sizes at West Marine. They say they are $14, but they came up at a little over $8 when I went to check out.

Hmm, I'm in the checkout screen and they're not coming up at $8 for me, they're still $14.88 and with tax and shipping they're $23. I pay less than that for my Teva Mush flipflops which I love so I guess I'll pass on the Reefs for now.

I just bought a pair at our local surf shop for $13.00 and they are the most comfortable flip flops I ever wore!!!! I tried on a pair of Crocs, and I think these are much more comfy!!!!

With shipping, it was still cheaper to order them at West Marine than any store I have seen.

:cheer2: Yeah! TRULYGOOFY, I just wanted to say thank you, just yesterday I was looking on ebay for the black on black ones & couldnt find any let alone for only $14.88 (didnt show up as $8 for me either). I ordered 2, 1 for me & 1 for my daughter. Shipping was $6.95 for 1 pair but only $1 more when I added the 2nd pair. So it averaged out to only $20 a pair with shipping/tax which is still less what our local skate & surf stores charge.

p.s. I really like the pink ones too but they arent available in any size through west marine. :sad1:

DH says he can't feel the bottle opener at all in his. They're a little heavier to add sole on top of the opener, but not bad. Of course, he could just be saying this because I mock him for buying a sandal with a bottle opener in them...

I have the same ones and I found them to be more comfortable than the Slap. I didn't know there was a bottle opener on them until after I bought them either. But they will come in handy at the pool bar.
