my grandaughter dank tub water after she went potty in the tub before her Mom realized it and got her out....what will happen????should she call the doc????

I'm guessing that since it came out of her behind that if it went back in the other end she'll be fine.:rotfl2: Kids crack me up! :rotfl: Make a 12 course meal they will take a little taste. Poop in the tub and they eat it up like fine wine and a porterhouse!:lmao:

Oh my gosh you are so right :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: !
BTW my DS has done that too and he was just fine. My DD stuck her hands in when I was changing her diaper and into the mouth her hand went before I could stop her :scared1: , no illnesses occurred. I wouldn't worry unless she shows any signs of being ill, but more then likely it won't harm her a bit ;) . Instead she will just have succeeded in grossing your DD out :rotfl: .

I'm sure she'll be fine. My DS once took his diaper off in the crib after he had gone and let's just say not only did he eat it he also had a field day putting in on everything.

I figure since it was in her before, going in again won't cause problems.

Now if there had been another kid in there that she rarely sees, THEN I'd start to wonder...but her own? naw, no worries for me.

Ooohhhh Tag Fairy................where art thou with all these juicy poo quotes?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ain't that the truth??? This thread is hilarious.

I've discovered that becoming a parent makes one a poop expert! I'm always observing how my children's poop looks, its consistency, and how it smells. I'm looking forward to the day when I can stop doing that. :rotfl2:

Oh, no you don't. Because when you can stop seeing it, then the dr will ask you questions about it, and make you feel like a bad, bad mom because you don't know. LOL.

where it was her own...i don't think anything will happen. Basically, if its already in her (well not in her now), its already there! Just keep an extra eye on her...and if she starts acting different and lathargic, then get her to the doctor.

Try your best to wash as much of the filth off of hands and clothing and lips etc. as you can, and hope and pray. Alcohol (not near eyes and mouth) is a good idea.

Not true. There is a tremendous amount of noxious bacteria which may cause disease if it comes into contact with interior body parts at the other end. The body parts at the rear end are designed to contain the bacteria. It depends on how well the body is fighting off disease that day.

A primary line of defense against ingested bacteria is the acid in the stomach, but this is not perfect.

All this poop talk is making me laugh about my day at work yesterday. I work in a special needs preschool class and potty training doesn't always go well or quickly with these kids.

So this one little boy was acting like he was uncomfortable and the other aide asked him if he had poop in his diaper. Not having much language to express himself, he promptly reached into his pants and took some out to show her. I heard this awful screech from the other side of the room. It was my co-worker being totally grossed out! :scared1: We scrubbed his hands and cleaned him up (it was the kind that goes everywhere). We changed his clothes and even his socks (don't ask!).

So, I come back into the room and notice a suspicious blob on the floor. Yep, he had dropped a piece. As I'm going to get some gloves and a wipe to pick it up, the speech therapist walks in. I said, "Don't step on that!" She looks more closely and says, "What is it?" I said, "It ain't chocolate!" This woman is easily grossed out and she made the same screeching sound I had heard earlier:scared1: !!!!! We also had 2 kids water the carpet yesterday. It was quite a day!!!!! We can't wait for the school year to finally end. We're going batty in there!!!:rotfl2:

Aaaaaahhhhh...a budding Picasso!

It's not funny now but in a few years it'll cause a bunch of :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: when the story comes up.

I bet your DD never thought this would be something she'd have to worry about. Poor thing, I'm sure she's terribly worried but the baby will probably be fine. Kids are way stronger than we think.

I always find myself saying things to my kids I NEVER EVER thought I'd have to tell another human being.

When DS was little he picked up a tiny bit of poo from the floor and ate it. It must have fallen off a visitors shoe and was kicked under an end table until my baby spotted it and thought a taste test was they way to go. :scared1:  :scared1: I was horror stricken since my home is always spotless and I'm a bit of a germ-o-phobe. Well I scrubbed his teeth and had him spit out Listerine and called the Dr. who told me it was no biggie. Still I was scarred. Shoes have been banned in my home ever since. We have 4- 6 foot long shelves in my garage devoted to all our shoes ( I LOVE shoes) and it drives my hubby nuts but that's the way it is. Still it makes for a funny story DS still talks about it when gross outs come up

May not be a problem but call asap if she starts experiencing flu like symptoms. My girlfriend's DD was playing in a kiddie pool and drank some of the water and had to be hospitalized for dehydration after she was very ill. They think some of the doggie poo may have gotten into the pool.

My son was hospitalized for kidney failure from ecoli and one of the possible ways he got it (we do not know how he got it) was a kiddie pool (none of the parents of the kids that had been in the pool would cooperate with us to see if their kids might have had ecoli and then passed it onto my 15 month old - i guess in fear we would go after them). I am now needless to say scared of kiddie pools.

Urine is very sterile (at least right when it comes out).:scared: Feces are not.
