OT: peanut butter for toddler?

If pb is such a big choking hazard and has all of the allergy issues, why does WIC start offering it at 12 months? Just wondering why they would do that.

I think the 1st time DS had a nutter butter was around 10 or 12 months old. We don't have food allergies so I didn't even think twice about it.

I also gave him strawberry yogurt when he was 5 months old. I didn't even realize that strawberries were an allergen then.

Of course, I also ate tuna and lunchmeats when I was pregnant so take it for what it's worth!!!

Me too! I was a bad girl. My food police friends were very angry.
