OT-Mountain Springs Resort, Collingwood, Ontario

Just curious if anyone else has stayed here? We, as a family came here for the first time about 7 years ago. It is a resort like, condo ski chalet. We always come in the summer, because we are not skiers. Have always loved, loved the resort. We haven't been for about 3 years now, we took a break. We decided to give it a try, they had apparently done a huge renovation on the first half of the rooms, and the other half this fall. So we are here now for May long weekend, and what a farce. If they have spent 2.2 million dollars in reno's, I would like to know where they are. The place is completly run down. The beautiful outdoor pool has a huge tear in the liner, and they are running a hose in it to keep enough water in it, the pool deck is filthy, the rooms ( we apparently have a new Deluxe renovated suite) bathrooms are in terrible shape, appliances not working. I am very disappointed, and probably won't be back again, Just wondered if anybody else had been!

What a shame. I have not stayed there, but we have stayed in the area. Once at the Grand Georgian and once at Sierra Lanes (rented thru owner). I love going to the Village at Blue (all year round).

How was the 2 resorts you stayed at? If you don't mind me asking, and if you can share the owners you rented from, we would like to go back down for Canada day. The Village has a lot of great things going on that weekend. If you can share, please PM me!

When we stayed at Grand Georgian, we just booked through the Blue Mountain website. They will send you "hot deals" if you enter your email address. http://www.bluemountain.ca/

We rented a condo at Sierra Lanes through an owner who listed on VRBO.
http://www.vrbo.com/59420 We enjoyed our stay there and found that it was an easy walk to the village, or we could hop on a resort shuttle.
