GGGGRRRR I'm cross!
Just been (out of curiosity) on the DLP website and prices for our holiday dates are now £702 CHEAPER than what we booked on Monday evening, does anyone know how I'd go about trying to get the holiday at that price or am I totally wasting my time. We paid £358 deposit. Total price (inc insurance and half board) 3079.32, website now says 2377.20.

So has anyone got a nice weekend planned. Tomorrow I'm going to my nephews 1st birthday party in Southend, my idea of a nightmare really, a party full of toddlers!! But I am looking forward to seeing my nephew as I haven't seen him since his Christening in October. I think I'll help my BIL with the cooking (he's an Auzzie so we always do the full big Auzzie BBQ when ever we are there!!)

.... which is why I love it that my two (and their friends) are at the age they are at now (Louise is 6 and Adam is 3). Whenever they get together, they just disappear upstairs (or wherever) and play together (most of the time lol) and leave us grown-ups in peace. Anyway, hope you enjoy the party though. Mmmm BBQ !!!

We don't have anything planned for the weekend yet (other than going food shopping). I think we'll definitely have to do something or go somewhere as the weather's meant to be good this weekend and mild(ish). I want to go to this place called Merton Abbey Mills which is about 15-20 mins drive away (farmers' market, art & craft stalls type place). We've been there many years ago just before Christmas. Don't think hubby will agree but hey, if I'm driving... !! lol.

If they do not let you change, would it not be worth losing the original deposit and re booking, you will still save over £300? That is what I was going to do if ours came up alot cheaper!

just thought ... it depends when you are going on your hols .... the nearer to the holiday the more you have to pay to cancel .... good luck, i had fingers crossed this morning when i checked for the prices for when we go so know how gutted you must feel.

If you cancelled completely and rebooked, lost the deposit and rebooked, then you'd still save money (about £350 saving) , so I guess that's something, even if you can't get anything better sorted.

I'm going to ring in the morning, firstly I'm going to recheck the prices that are on the website then I'll mention only just booking and see what they come up with. Have just read my terms and conditions and anything over 61 days before travelling is the full 10% of the total booking price, in our case £358 so lose that to gain £344. The Hotel New York is coming up cheaper than what we are paying for the SL.

It's coming up cheaper because of the 40% offer, all I can do is ring tomorrow morning and see what they say but I'm not expecting anything to be honest.
