OT - Keurig owners?

Did you get the platinum of the special edition at Kohl's?

Is there really a big difference between the two?

I just got a GREAT deal on one on kohls.com It was $81 for the unit and 3 boxes of the pods. You have to use your kohls charge, and the 30% code is holiday30 and the free shipping code is mvc7935 good until this tues.

HTH,
Michele

How did you get this deal? The cheapest pot they had is $149.99 less 30% is $104. Which unit did you get? Thanks!

I also have a Keurig and LOVE it. One of the best purchases we have made. :thumbsup2

My husband and I both use travel mugs for our ride to work so we bought the Platinum. It makes a 12 ounce cup. It is the 199.95 model. We also use this size at home because we use mugs.

Just something to think about if you are thinking of buying a Keurig.

the only thing i don't like is how noisy the machine is. ours sounds like a coffee grinder and shakes the whole counter top when it starts up. i can't complain though other than that. i also love making hot cocoa with the machine. yum!

I had the same problem with the noise/vibration, so I stuck a folded dishtowel under it and it has helped a ton! Before that, the thing would vibrate itself across the counter. But my mom and sister have the same machine and never had that problem. Go figure. :confused3

Just remember that when it makes larger cups, it's just sending more water through the same amount of coffee in the k-cup, so it tends to be weaker.

I like my coffee REALLY STRONG, so the larger size really doesn't work for me unless I'm using the Newman's Own Extra Bold K-cups or something else that brews really dark. Most of the time I'll just brew 2 small cups (using 2 k-cups) in my WDW refillable mug in the morning.

This is true, I should have mentioned that. I don't use K-cups too often so I didn't even think of it. I use the K-cup attachment with my own coffee.
Thank you for posting that.

oh, great idea! i was thinking of buying some kind of foam from the craft store to put under it, but a dish towel is better, we have so many! haha.

it must be the type of counter or something why it makes all that noise? weird. :confused3

that's exactly the same as ours! haha. it MUST be the counter tops then. :lmao:

I guess so! Oh how I wish we could re-do the kitchen...just not in the budget right now. I guess the dish towel under the coffee maker is a little more affordable than new counter tops. :rotfl:
