OT: just need your prayers please

My mom is going to be leaving us soon. It's just a matter of time her doctor says. Her heart just can't keep up with all her medical problems. She has been in a home for about a month now but in the last 2 days she has really gotten worse.

Yesterday she turned 85. She said she couldn't believe she made it to her birthday.

She is at peace and knows the end is near she says. She has always asked her doctors to tell it like it is. We, on the other hand, are having the problems. She is so tired she says. It is so hard to see her this way. I know she will be going to a better place to be with my Dad but it's so hard. We just lost my husbands father last year too. And now again to go through this....Being grown up sucks.

The grandchildren are having a tough time with this as well. They are all adults now but it is so hard for them to see their Grammie like this.

Sorry to tell you all this but you are like family...always giving support and love when it is really needed....
So please when you say your prayers think nice thoughts for my Mommy. Pray that she goes peacefully and that she has a fast journey to be with the man of her dreams....my dad......

My thoughts are with you and your family. While I have yet to lose my parent, we just went through this a few weeks ago with my Grandmother. It is not easy. Our only solace was that we knew that she knew it was time and that she would not have a prolonged, miserable end.
