I had an interview last Thursday at a preschool and during the interview the owner stated she would love to have me work for her, only problem during the interview was I stated my son needed to attend that preschool so our schedules would be the same, she advised me that as of now the class was full but one child may not be attending and my son can fill in that spot, she was going to contact them to verify. She didn't act as if there would be any issues but she would call me Friday afternoon. She never did call so DH said maybe I should call her back, so I called and left her a message. I waited a bit longer and decided to call her cell phone, she told me to call that if I had any questions, she answered saying she was working on it, that she hadn't forgot about me, and she was going to work on my schedule etc over the weekend and she would definately let me know on Monday (yesterday), well she never called. How long should I give her before I call again? I don't want to appear pushy but also don't want her to think I'm not all that interested in the position because I am. I just don't want to wait for weeks on this job as I really need some income coming in the near future. Any advice? :confused3

Keep looking.

I wouldn't give up on this position, but it may not be the right fit right now with the parameters that you set forth. That potential employer may be waiting on the yes/no from the student's parent to make a decision. She may also be waiting for other information - checking references, etc.

Good luck!
