I believe that a Blackberry product with WiFi will be release later this year.

I'm looking at the Blackberry Curve and the only 'bad' thing I've read about is that it doesn't have WiFi. Can someone explain to the computer stupid (me) what difference that makes?

I can still receive email from anywhere in North America, correct?

I should add that the only purpose I have for purchasing the BB is for work related email and phone. I have an iPod that I will continue to use for entertainment purposes.

Wifi will just allow you to connect to the internet wirelessly anyplace and use any open connection you come across that is what Wifi is used for primarily. If you have a data package with your BB you will still recieve your e mails as if you would at home.

Two more questions

1). When I am using Safari (wi-fi), say I am connected to http://www.google.com/talk/ - it seems I am not able to take any incoming calls (directed to voice mail), is that normal?

2). Is it possible to beam pictures/files/business contacts to another device via infrared or blue tooth, like what I used to do in my previous PDA phone?
