Back to happy thoughts...my 4 year old is outside trying to eat snowflakes as they fall out of the sky.:goodvibes

That is just so cute, I remember my three doing that on the rare occasions we've had snow!
I've also taken my pre-school children outside to catch snowflakes on their tongue as well, they loved it!

I'm always like that when I don't get tickets too! I'm sure they will be with you tomorrow though :goodvibes

Good evening everyone. Ive just been reading through the thread - you've all been chatting a lot today havent you :goodvibes

We've had no snow here today - just cold - I hope we get some tomorrow though as Im not going to work so it would be fun

Mr Small World has told me I need to be more specific in the type of snow I want :confused3

So I want lots of lovely snow that I can play in, build a snow man and roll about in and make snow angels :rotfl:

If this snow and cold weather keeps up we aren't gonna be BBQing at our party on Friday.... Looks like the oven will be working overtime....

Good evening everyone. i could get used to this not working lark:rotfl2:

My boss has just turned down my leave for December :confused3

She says that it's because we are in a busy period but leave has been agreed in previous busy periods (like my October DLRP trip)

I've got a feeling that it's because she doesn't like me and she knows that I am going back to DLRP and it's a case of the Green Eyed Monster.

I'll just take it higher and higher until it's agreed.

Oh no. What is the company's policy regarding leave? Although in most cases I have sanctioned holidays at work employees understand that not everyone can be off at the same time.
Perhaps you could offer to work at a similarly busy time to compensate :goodvibes
Fingers crossed you are able to get a solution that is acceptable :)

Good evening Nikki
I know its good isnt it - Ive been to work today but wasnt in yesterday and am not going tomorrow either

I'm not back until next Tuesday apart from footie on Saturday. I have also applied for another job today as i am now really angry with waiting for the ambulance service to get back to me. I applied for a technicians role with the ambo service in July 2007, I passed all the selection process this year to be told the role doesn't exist anymore due to a national change. I finally got information about the new role which is the replacement, it is basically the same but £1000 less salary to the technician. I was meant to start training for it in November but they don't know when:confused3 I have to give 4 weeks notice in my current job so its not going to happen.

I was speaking to my friend today & one of her friends is training to be an ambulance technician for the same ambulance service I applied for & was told the role doesn't exist anymore. Her friend started in September which is when I was originally meant to start:mad: So I am not happy & I get nowhere when I talk to them

Oh dear Nikki thats not good news at all.

So what job have you applied for today?
