It coming down thick and fast now! :goodvibes We just had rain this morning... maybe you will get some snow later... your not very far from me at all.

We had a downpour around half eleven, it's raining again now - oooh snow would be good!

My boss has just turned down my leave for December :confused3

She says that it's because we are in a busy period but leave has been agreed in previous busy periods (like my October DLRP trip)

I've got a feeling that it's because she doesn't like me and she knows that I am going back to DLRP and it's a case of the Green Eyed Monster.

I'll just take it higher and higher until it's agreed.

Oh that isn't good news at all. Fingers crossed that it does get agreed and soon.

Seriously?? Just say it isn't an option as its booked. Unless lots of other people have leave booked she has no reasonable grounds to refuse your leave....

Seriously! I've just emailed her saying the exact thing that you have just said! She said she was jelous when I booked off the first holiday, then she knew I was thinking of booking again in December and said 'you've already been this year, someone else should go instead' then said that I was spoiling Kacee by taking him twice in 3 months!!

Refusing my leave just backs up the claim that she is simply jelous. If she stoped wasting her money on drink and ciggarettes then maybe she could pay for herself and her daughter to go to DLRP

If that is what she has actually said, especially about spoiling Kacee I would go to her boss NOW and say she is refusing leave because of her personal feelings. It is none of her buisness how you raise your son, and none of her buisness where and when you go on holiday. I'm assuming this is holiday time and not unpaid leave? If that is the case you're entitled to use it as you wish. She cannot refuse you on those grounds as that is her personal opinion..... It also sounds to me like she is bad management material. Especially because if anyone did want to go away then they would more than likely have booked it and requested leave by now!!!!

Cap'n, I've just told my mother this and she says to write a formal complaint to her manager.... If you have any emails saying this sort of thing, save them, copy them into a word document as back up too....

....Sorry, I'm just outraged at this!

Why can't I have Bob as my manager:confused3

Life would be so much easier!

You should tell her, None of her business why you are applying for your leave and you may spoil your son if and when you wish :woohoo:

omg cap'n jack i cant believe she said that to you. that is none of her business where you go on holidays and what is wrong with taking your son to disneyland its not like you are doing anything wrong. i agree with bob i am so outraged that someone could use their status as a manager to take out their personal feelings on staff. i would definately complain

I've just read about that manager and what she said is 'tribunal' material, as far as I can see. I would drop a few words like 'unlawful' and 'discrimination' and 'tribunal' into a letter of complaint. It shouldn't matter if you got to DLRP every weekend, it is none of her damn business! And as for you spoiling Kacee, well perhaps it is a reflection of her relationship with her own child? She sounds like a right *****.

Back to happy thoughts...my 4 year old is outside trying to eat snowflakes as they fall out of the sky.:goodvibes

I agree with Joolz! Add some words like that into your complaint.... Definately!!

Oh Gosh, I must be off!! I can't believe the time!! Robert will be feeling abandoned if I don't go get him!

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Thanks for the words of encouragement you two  . Just had an email response from her and now taking it up with another Team Leader asking how I go about complaining about the treatment.
