Okay, when you can't DISign and you can surf a bit, you find new twists on old products. How many of you remember "Shrink-a-Dinks" (color on plastic sheet, place in oven and it melts to a smaller piece)? Well, they now make a shrink art plastic that can be used in an ink jet printer! It shrinks to 40% of original size. (It will need a spray coat of clear protective paint to make it water resistant/water proof.) It would be a great thing to make luggage tages, name badges, pins....let your imagination run wild!

No, I have not had the opportunity to try it myself---I only read about it.

I'm not sure if I can post the link to the website--just google SHRINKY DINKS and it will be one of the first entries.

***Due to the nature of the product, it CANNOT BE USED IN LASER PRINTERS

TELYNN! I have been away from the Board for a couple of days and just now saw a post from you! Welcome back!

I had forgotten about this paper! I actually tried shrinky dinks last year ... got a 'free' page in the package of cling paper I had bought. I made "Do you Dis" tags for our bags. The only problem was that the colors end up much darker so it was not the nice lime Dis green but a much darker forest kind of green!

I'm still not back...just using dad's computer....But thank you for the enthusiastic welcome!

I'd like to try the sheet and see what color would remain as the lime green for the DIStags...hmmm...one day perhaps.

Did you like the product? Was it as easy to use as the regular shrink a dinks?

I did ... they were fun to make. I am thinking now of maybe making some ornaments from these wonderful designs for the small tree we usually put in DS's room. Since we will be in Disney from the 26th - Jan 2nd (and on a train on Christmas Day) I am not putting up our big tree. Could put his small tree on the credenza and make a bunch of ornaments for it. ooooooh, I am already excited just thinking about it! :santa:

THANK YOU for the reminder on this paper!
