It is free parking, free admision, during the week you can buy the wrist band and coaster package for the big riders. THe book of tickets are discounted at AAA and I read at the park office on the weekdays.

We bought $40 of books last visit and the FOOD is so yummy, bought about $8 food coffee each, You can take food in, picnic tables there.
Really great time at the pool water park for kids and slides.
Check out their site for entertainent too,
A great place on a tank of gas.

I've been to DW many times since we are in the area. If you are planning to make a vacation out of it, there are a lot of cool things to do in the area, strasburg railroad, shady maple is an amazing place to eat, all the outlets are there in lancaster.. Also, I agree that getting the combo ticket and going to Hershey is worth it.

Even if you don't want to do the park two days in a row, check out chocolate world! The kids love it! have a great time!

hay knoboles grove!!! we went there every summer when our dd was little. we had a camper in wapwallopen pa. ( i see you have mountain top in your signature) we are probley the only people on this site that knows were wapwallopen is! anyway, great park! trees, grass, some of the old style 1950 rides that some of us rode as kids. VERY WELL MAINTAINED, if anyone is going to that part of pa, its worth the visit. off topic alittle but is kings pizza still in business?

Well, we went to DW!! On July 4th too!!! The weather was very cloudy & we had some spots of drizzle but it was great not having to worry about suncreen all day!

We had a great time. The kids loved it. We will go back, expecially since we didn't take advantage of the water park side due to the weather. BUT it looked SOOO awesome.

Oh & I thought it would be dreadfull with lines for rides - NO (real) LINES! Hopefully my kids won't be too antsy in those LONG, HOT WDW lines!! But they were so courteous and didn't push to the front. Thankfully I have been teaching them...

It was a great learning experience too, now I know what else I have to get for our WDW trip in Sept. (i.e. cup holder for stroller, back pack...)

This is true! I used to live across the street from the brewery.. not all that glamorous actually. lol I don't know if you heard but they are opening the catacombs for the summer to celebrate the 175th anniversary. The underground cellars run the entire length of Mahantongo st and were not only used with the underground railroad but as a speakeasy. I have never been inside them and I am actually planning to go in August with a bunch of friends. :) even if I can't drink, I still want to go!

the last few years theyve had small sections of the tunnels open. there cool. they are cold and damp, even in aug.

My kids are much older now - we are another family that took yearly trips to Lancaster (2-4 nights) and stayed at Willow Valley. They (we) loved Dutch Wonderland.

Besides everything that has already been mentioned - there is the Anderson Pretzel Factory, Kitchen Kettle, Corn Mazes, Amish Tours (if the kids are up to them), one room schoolhouse - there is a house that is all Christmas decorations/scenery inside (I can't think of the names of these last two). You will pick up all info./brochures at whatever hotel/resort you decide to stay at.

It is definitely worth the ride there.

If you decide to go, come back and post your experience.

We want last month and our 4 yr old DS and twin 3 yo girls loved it. It is not Disney but a great introduction to amusement park rides for little kids.

We were going to go to Sesame Place a couple weeks ago, but the mixed reviews scare us off.

We took my 3-year-old son to Dutch Wonderland instead. He LOVED it. We did too. Thought it was great for his age group and especially loved the waterplay area. Very clean and very little waiting in line.

He's already asking to go back.
