I asked this on the cooking&scrapbooking board, but have had no responses yet, so I was hoping to appeal to someone here....
I bought the black WDW scrapbook 8.5X11 with Tink's face under a plastic bubble on the cover. There are 15 black pages inside, with 3 screw type things holding the book together. Do I 1) create a page using my WDW paper, stickers, punch outs outside the book, the punch holes, and take the book apart to get it in, or 2) paste the WDW patterned paper directly onto the black page, then paste the pictures, etc, or 3) just use the black page itself as the backround paper, and cut up the WDW backround paper for borders and decoration? (I have a bunch of the WDW sets that include the paper, stickers, frames, etc)
Sorry if I am scrap-********, but I am a scrap-virgin, and I want to start the first page of the memory book of DD1's first visit right!Any other tips would be much appreciated. TIA!

Personally, I would use the Disney paper, etc. to make my page, then glue it to the black page inside the book. The black pages in the book: are they the same size as your Disney paper or larger? If they are larger that will give you a nice black frame around your Disney paper, if they are the same size then it just makes your page that much thicker.

I've been putting my finished pages into clear page protectors then I insert the clear page protector into my scrapbook which is just a plain black binder.

I am over on the other board all the time and the ladies there are so helpful.

I have not seen the book you have however you could do as you said and adhere your pics to the black pages, using your disney paper as mats, borders, squares etc to decorate. Or you can cut the disney paper to fit the black page, adhere it and then decorate the disney page.

I think I understand your pages are not in plastic protectors....? I would not punch holes in my disney paper and insert it. It is too thin for that. You could however try and find refill pages with protectors that fit your book. With protectors you make you page outside the book and slip it into the protector when finished.

The little posts should be easy to take apart, look in the back cover for the screw heads under the little flap. Good luck and email me with any questions you have

Is their an e-mail or internet address to get scrapbooking materials. I like those rolls of stickers to give to my dance students.

Which rolls of stickers? The little round ones?
I almost asked if you were kidding. There are thousands of web based scrapbook supply stores and several carry Disney items. I like www.gonescrappin.com myself. If you want SB advice you can not beat the ladies on the Creating Keepsakes Message boards. Here- www.creatingkeepsakes.com/message_board/

OP- you can use the black pages as backgroud paper or cover it with Disney paper. And as was posted above, you can take it apart to add pages. And do find page protectors to fit over your pages, you need those!

Thank you
Actually, I should've specified the rolls of disney stickers they sell at the scrapbook store at downtown disney. I got really cute sparkly tinkerbell stickers last time and the kids loved them.

It sounds like you have an 8 1/2 by 11 post bound album.

If that is the case, I would buy refill page protectors, cut down your disney paper to fit inside the page protectors, and create the page on your Disney paper.

A few tips for a virgin...when using some of the specialty Disney paper, it tends to be very busy and your pictures get lost in them.
For my trip, I have bought alot of embellishments to go on a solid colored background. But I did buy some busy paper too because I got caught up in the excitement of all things Disney.
Also, make sure if you buy the page protectors that you buy them for a post bound album and not a strap hinge. I use 12 x 12 albums so I am not even sure if they come in strap hinge.

There is a gal on this board that also posts at 2PeasinaBucket.com--the best scrapbooking website out there :)
Her name is StephStanley and I am almost positive she works at a scrapbook store and can give you even more info.
