Just saw it last night with dh, dd (8) and ds (4). Oh, how I cried. I loved it. And I'm sorry but the Mr. Potato Head parts on the tortilla totally cracked me up.
I cried as well! When all the toys were holding hands waiting for doom??? That part got to me as well, even though I was holding my 3 year old who was burying his face into me and telling him they were going to be rescued.

OMG, yes! And the pigeon pecking at him...SO Pixar!
I am being downsized after July 2 and will have both kids with me the first week as DD's daycare is closed for a vacation week July 5-9...I think we may just have to go see it AGAIN!
Jeez, I should be sleeping...I am taking 3 kids to Sesame Place, solo, 9 hours from now...YIKES!
I'm so glad the OP posted this! I thought I was nuts crying at an animated film! I sat there watching and remembering my DS and how much he loved his Buzz "LIKEyear'. He's turning 10 this year and it's gone by so quickly. I have a beautiful pic of him at the hospital when DD was born. She 'gave' him the Buzz doll and he was sooo happy! I still have it in the closet. I'm bummed now that we got rid of the Zurg doll. But we still have Buzz, and oddly enough we found someone's Woody doll at our neighborhood park. Poor guy had been floating in the pond and someone had pulled him out of the water and thrown him into a tree! He's in rough shape, but still talks, so I put him with Buzz, since they are a team. I got so choked up at the leaving for college stuff and the home movies when he was little. I have no idea what I"m gonna do when my DS goes off to college! I'll be a total mess!
Sheesh, now I'm going to have to see the movie again! I totally missed that! Yup, I'll be bringing the tissue box. I have to say that sometimes Disney gets a little dark in the dramatic scenes. I have a few friends with younger kids 4 and 5 who were really upset that their toys might "die".
I saw it yesterday with my dad and my daughter who is leaving for college in the fall. She and I both cried when the mom walks into the room and it's all packed up.
On a funny note, our address and their address is only one digit off!
Haven't seen it yet but from what I hear I'll probably cry too, I mean, I still do every time I see Wishes (thought not the new summer ones at DLR-not as touching??)
My neighbor saw it yesterday and she said she and her dad both fought back the tears.
Going out today to see if I can get a few more boxes of Kelloggs for a few more TS codes. $1.99/box and you get back $5 for every 3 boxes-it's a great deal-basically 50 cents for 3 boxes of cereal.
Yes...I hate movies that make me cry!
DS (4) cried too. He is so wise for his age. He could just sense the sadness Andy was feeling at the end leaving his toys.
I did well until I was just outside the movie afterward. Then I looked at my 13 yr old son, was flooded by all those Buzz memories and bawled like a baby. He was mortified, lol
