I figured this would be the best place to post this. While I was cleaning the house DD2 found a crayon and scribbled all aver our new LCD TV. It's dear hubby's baby and I have tried everything to get it off. I read the book, and also goggled how to clean it and they suggested 50/50 H2O and alchohol. Nothing is taking the crayon off :scared1:

Any suggestions?

TIA

Mr Clean magic eraser usually work great on crayon, but I'm not sure how it would be on the TV.

Is there a customer service number you can call?

If it's under warranty, I'd hate to void it by using something not recommended by the manufacturer!

I would think magic eraser too but very little water and scrub VERY lightly.

magic eraser is abrasive and I would try most anything else before using that on my LCD tv screen.

FYI The manufacturer said a LCD cleaner or warm water and mild soap (like hand soap)

Off to try it.

I got these things as a Bzzagent and LOVE them- PLEDGE MULTI SURFACE wipes. They work on electronics!! I think they would be your best bet. They work on wood/glass/metal and electronics. As a mom with several "artists" in the family they worked on my computer when they drew on it- so I am thinking it should work on the tv.

Good luck!

I am curious about how it went as well- my dd scribbled on our lcd just the other day with chapstick and I can't get it off. If you find a cleaner tht worked- please poST IT!

Did you find the magic concoction? I'm curious too, for future reference. We have a similar type of tv, and the only thing dh uses to clean it is this "special" tv screen cleaner and a very soft cloth. He freaks when he sees a tiny speckle.

My DH has a similar TV and I swear DS3 is on a mission to destroy it!:lmao: He has done just about everything to the screen, including colouring on it with markers (washable, thank goodness) and spraying juice on it. I think he's even thrown toys at it a couple of times. We have 6 kids so the screen is always full of fingerprints. I've always used diaper wipes to clean the screen. I don't know if I'm supposed to or not, but it seems to do the trick.
