Looking for suggestions for costumes to wear to the MNSSHP. I am a plus sized woman who doesn't want to put a lot of money into the costume. On top of that I will be flying down & not an artsy/craftsy creative type....Suggestions??? Thanks in advance!

One of my favorite things is a cat...black pants/top/shoes or boots...add a store bought tail and some store bought ears...a bit of black eye liner for facial details and your done! Or, if you can find a face painter...have them do your face as a cat!

What about dressing up like the 50's? Long white button up t-shirt, rolled-up blue jeans, bobby socks, little white tennis shoes(or oxfords if you can find some!) and a scarf in your hair/around your neck? Chew a big wad of bubble gum too!

Google homemade costumes...there is a ton of stuff out there!

Have fun!!!

I am a Pooh sized lady as well, and I totally understand- you want to wear something comfortable that doesn't make you look too silly and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

We are going to the last MNSSHP, so we won't have to worry too much about dressing for hot weather. DD9 is going to be Elizabeth Swann in the Asian Pirate Queen outfit. DH and I are going to dress as pirates to go with her. We will wear large ragged T's and shorts or capris that are ragged along the bottom. We will have bandanas and pirate-y accessories (swords, drawn on tattoos, maybe even a stuffed parrot on our shoulder). DH will probably sport beard stubble, and we'll both make ourselves look as dirty and disreputable as possible.
