I loved the stockings my mom gave to me and my siblings growing up.

They generally consisted of consumables, that we would snack on all morning while opening presents.
Some of the Things Included:
Granola Bars, Fruit Snacks, PopTarts, Tic-Tacs, LifeSaver Books, Juice Boxes, Boxes of Raisins, Handy Snacks, Crackers, Snack Size Cookie Packs, Pez & Other Misc. Candy. One year we had the individual boxes of cereal - those were a real treat.
Alot of this stuff was a treat for us as it wasn't normally in the house.
Sometimes there were the individual packs of kleenex, toothbrushes, chapstick, crayons, pencils, post-its, etc, too.
My son is two this year and is getting his first stocking. I'm going to use this tradition of giving primarily snack type items he can nibble on throughout the day. So far I have Raisnettes, M&M's, Teddy Grahams, Banana Chips, Dried Fruit, Raisins, Quaker Cereal Bites, Cookies, and Juice Box. I'm also going to pick up those individual boxes of chocolate milk that don't need to be refridgerated. There might be a few other additions, we'll see what I find at the grocery store over the next week.
