awww bob im sorry you are not feeling great. i know what its like when everything feels like its getting on top of you.

heres my hug if its any good to you

I get annoyed with having to military plan our Christmas day's so that we spend the same amount of time at everyone's house so that they all spend the same amount of time with Kacee.

I wanted to do Disney this year for Christmas but Ellie was put off by the crowds and the fact that she would be 7 months pregnant :thumbsup2

I can see why Ellie would say no to this year. I wouldn't want to go Disney 7 months pregnant.

I just hate the having to transport everything to my mums christmas eve, sleep in a room that gets smaller as SIL fills it up with her junk and then put on the same happy faces on Christmas Day when all i went to do is punch the SIL in the face :lmao:

I love my family but Christmas is for Kyra, its not for them anymore. She would love a Disney Christmas aswell.

Her little face would light up at the thought of spending Christmas Day with Mickey.:lovestruc

I even had to talk her into going for the weekend. Told her that we aren't there to rush around doing rides all day but to take in the Christmas atmosphere and we have my parents who need tea every hour so that thier bladder doesn't fall below the three gallon level!

I think Kacee would die of excitement seeing his beloved Mouse on Christmas Day. He got really excited yesterday when he saw the photo's from our October DLRP trip!

Awwwww!

I wouldn't tell Kyra we was going untill she clicked on, at 5 I'm hoping she would "get" suprises where this year she don't care lol.

If i don't go for New Year, (though I would love to) We will deffo be going for Christmas.

I'm all excited now

Wish i could afford to take her for 2009 Christmas but unless I win the lottery, not gonna happen.

Bob,  for you. Hope your day/week gets better and that you're feeling brighter soon.

thats what makes it all worth it isnt it. kacee is so cute!!! ash is the same she can name every character in our pics and knows all the disney songs. she will join in and sing the first and last word of every line. i thought i was gonna burst when we were watching the parade and ash started singing just like we dreamed it lol

I'm so glad i don't live at home anymore.

I just get fed up with the same routine at Christmas, its not like I'm going to take her away every Christmas for the rest of her life, its just once...or maybe twice :lmao:

We have done the same thing for Xmas for all my life, we always had my nan over. However as she has now passed away this year it will be different. My sister wants us to go to her house:scared1: she barely has room for her family never mind 3 more.

I would love to go away for xmas but we can't this year due to our dog as he is old its not fair to put him in a kennel. Plus as I work in retail I can never get time off leading up to xmas. Although i'm only working till Xmas eve this year & then I have 2 weeks before I start my new job

Hi Bob, sending you several :hug:  to make you feel better. I'm just guessing here, but are you the one in the 'driving seat' so to speak, in your relationship? I always organise everything (including my own wedding / honeymoon) and although it gets me down at times, I am a natural planner. Besides, other people just wouldn't do it properly! Does that sound familiar? When you are feeling better, I'm sure you'll enjoy planning your big day. My vote goes to the Tree House, by the way! Beautiful place!

Emma, I agree, Christmas Day is for the children (if you have any) and everyone else comes second! I spent a long time trying to please other people at Christmas, but now they fit in with us, and not the other way around! They are not children for long, and you have to make it magical while they still believe!!

Right, that's my two penneth, I'm off to clean my untidy house...

yeah i know tell me about it!!! i cant wait to move out. i cant buy ash a pair of socks without having a family meeting first :rotfl:

I agree Joolz.

Kids these days click on to Christmas at younger ages each year and I want to make it as magical as I can for Kyra untill she clicks on and realises that Santa isn't real and that Mickey is a man in a suit.

Thats kinda what its like. Robert is very very very laid back and just lets life take its course. I, however, cannot do that.... Its not that he wouldn't do it properly, his version of 'properly' is to just see what happens..... And I don't think you can do that with a wedding.

Thanks for the

I totally agree that Christmas is for children - I drive 350 miles home to Scotland every Christmas, just so my DD can have a family christmas with all our relatives.

We all get up at stupid o'clock in the morning Christmas Day, congregate at my sisters house, and have all the pressies ripped open by 10am :rotfl: :rotfl:   . The kids spend a couple of hours playing together (usually until the first toy gets broken ;) ), then we all retire to our respective corners for a bit of peace and quiet. Move onto Mum's for dinner at 5pm (she's had 14 folk sat round the table in her living room before now :rotfl2: ) then after a gut-busting dinner, the kids run amok upstairs while the adults sprawl out wherever they can and watch some crappy film on telly.

For us, Mickey and Minnie couldn't top that

I'm off to collect something I have reserved for my sister, be back later.

Bye:goodvibes
