OT: ChaCha

I have had nothing but problems since yesterday. I have been getting a question here and there......but definitely nothing worth sitting around my computer waiting for!
I will try again later this evening.

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. I've logged in at numerous times today, including right now. Usually evenings are guaranteed times to get tons of questions. Nothing all day long, I think I answered 7-8 questions. Do you think this is all related to the 20 question limit? I've got catagories set up and everything.

By the way, what's the deal with ringtones? People keep asking me for our ringtones?
 
I don't know. This will be the first time since July that I haven't made top guide and I'm not happy. I wish they would just let us know if it is permanent or not so I can look for something else to make a little money with.:confused3
 

questions are coming in every 1-4 minutes for me. i've never seen it this slow, especially on a weekend. it HAS to be a system issue because guides are texting questions to chacha and receiving responses that chacha cannot answer their questions due to traffic volume. this just simply isn't so, because there are thousands of guides sitting around waiting for questions. also, many questions are going unanswered, if you look at the IS histories. something has happened in chacha's IT department.
 
I went and checked the ChaCha forums last night and there are tons of guides who are upset. I am disappointed because I've already lost over $100 just from not being able to make my self-set quotas since Thursday. Having issues for this long is just unacceptable, IMHO. I really hope they get it together in the next day or two. Keeping my fingers crossed! :teeth:
 
I have spent 2 hours updating my interests while staying available for questions...not a single one yet. I wonder if something is going on. I have never waited this long for a question to come through.

not only to make top guide, but to make any decent money at all. DH's work hours have just been cut, so this isn't fun money for me anymore. figures this would happen right now. sorry to be pessimistic, but i'm really down about the whole thing at the moment. i can forget booking the new buy 4, get 3 free disney deal.

Well, if people are upset, maybe Chacha will take notice, and fast! If they don't, people are just going to stop using them altogether, and guides are going to give up, too.

I'm so sorry to hear about your DH's hours. You have a right to feel down. Hang in there. :hug: Hopefully things will pick up again. They can't stay like this forever.

I'm sorry. I'm right there with you. My husband is in auto finance and lost his guarantee this week. They are hurting badly and we will be too starting next month. So, ChaCha is Christmas money this month but starting December it is grocery money. :sad2:

LOL Good for you. The results are actually released on Thursdays so you can check the list then to see if you made it for next time.

No problem, we all need to vent our frustrations now and then. Times are hard for many right now, and ChaCha has become much more then just "play" money for several families, at least from what I've been reading on the forums. And with the holidays also approaching quickly, well, it's just a bad time to have issues like these crop up.
But like I said, all we can do is keep at it and hope for the best. :wizard:

I used my last deposit of ChaCha money to help with our rent. Whatever I make between now and mid December will go for Christmas presents for our four kids. Without this, they might not be getting much at all. We simply cannot afford to take money away from other bills for gifts. So it's either ChaCha money, charging them all, or give them nothing. Hopefully it will still be ChaCha money since I'd rather not charge anymore then we already have to, and giving nothing simply isn't an option.
 
Ugh, I am so sorry to hear about all the misfortune. :hug: It will get better. Our family has been hit hard, too. We all just need to hang in there and hope something wonderful comes our way.
 
My hubby is still working right now (has a contract through March), but we got so far behind this year when he was off, that I'm desperately trying to make it up with ChaCha. I also went out of business myself, thanks to the economy :( so I'm depending on it. I have goals that have been grossly unmet this month and I need ChaCha to work, darn it!

I do hope ChaCha takes notice! I don't want ChaCha to fold due to technical issues. I really do enjoy ChaCha when it's up and running properly!

I agree, when it works and questions are coming in b2b, it can be fun. The extra cash wouldn't hurt either -was planning on using it for extra student loan payment/Disney fund. I'm sorry especially for the people who are doing this as a "job", I just started and was doing it PT evenings and weekends.

By the way, I forget to add to my last message that I also have been seeing what others have mentioned -that people are saying their question wasn't answered, but when I look at the history, it was answered twice or more! Almost like there's a glitch in the system.
