Thanks for the tip about the add ons. I added the clipping add on and it helps tremendously. I'm still trying to figure out the bookmarks though.
I only have about 8 more answers before I hit 50. What do you all think of this bonus system? I like it better than doing the 130.
I also like it better, doesn't seem so overwhelming so I'm more likely to try instead of the last two times I gave up because questions were too slow (I didn't want to be on all night).
What about bookmarks are you having a hard time with? I organized mine in folders like jokes, relational, conversational, and have the sources to match my clippings answers. I also enabled the "side bar" in FF (under view>side bar>bookmarks).
Woo-hoo! I made 95% on the compatiblity test! I'm reading the handbook now. Any last minutes tips before I take the test? I'm really really nervous.
Read EVERYTHING you can first. There are several more KB articles giving info about how to answer certain questions.
-You have up to 10 minutes to answer a question before you time out (and sometimes you don't, so keep going until you get an answer).
-use google during your test if you're more familiar with it. Their quicklinks page takes some getting used to so it will slow you down at first.
-once you get a question, you don't HAVE to click "find answer" (which brings up their quicklinks page) to start typing. Search for your answer in another tab, highlight what you want, then hit the "use as source" button up top. It will automatically throw you into the answer field so you can start typing with the text you had highlighted.
-when you get a question, skim the history on the right so you know the context of the question (helpful for "more" questions). You can click "detials" to read it in detail and see the sources previous guides cited (also helpful for "more" inquiries). Above the history on the right is the IS's original question. Sometimes the expeditor rewords the question in a weird way, so I reread the original to make sure I understand what the IS is looking for.
-There is a check box way under "send" that says "set to away after this question" in case you need to step away from your computer during your test. You can also manually set yourself to "away" in the upper left corner immediately after you log into the universe (or between questions). Lastly, if you happen to be set on "available" when another question comes available, but you just can't answer it, don't click "ok"! Eventually the universe will log you out. This will not count against you.
- Try to do about 15 questions. I went over 10 minutes 3 times during my test and it didn't count those toward the test. I had to do 13.
