OT: ChaCha

My sister signed up the other day. Took the simulator Sunday night and Monday afternoon she got a similar test. She retook the test and heard back from them this afternoon that she had been accepted. So apparently they are having some problems with the simulator test itself. So I would take it again and hopefully things will work out for you.

I would have no problem taking the test again, except for there are LONG intervals in between the questions. I understand that it may be like that when I am really working, but I think that aspect of the test taking process is kind of ridiculous. Did anyone else have a similar issue?

I just answered two more questions to kind of bump it up in case one of the questions timed out or something, but in my list of questions answered, they are all there. And it says training right next to it.

I just don't understand all of this that well yert!

Quality Control. Anyone want to share if you got dinged a few times your first week (if you didn't, I don't want to know No, good for you.)

I have gotten 4 QC Feedback messages. I guess they are looking at the ones I did over the Sunday to Saturday week (or however that goes). I had about 500 answered. A couple I understand. One was accuracy for a contact. I'm guessing they want address before phone number and I just copied how it was listed, which was phone number first. Another was citation and my fault. I didn't know which page to use for conversation (but I do now ). I'm OK with that. I am learning. The other two were presentation. I think I know what the issue was, but question that it should be one...regardless.

Anyway...so far 4 QC's for my first week! Add to that some tech problems on their part. I know other guides had the issue with these rolling questions that would not stop: question, then immediate you did not answer in time, then immediate question, immediate did not answer in time...no way to log out. My account shows they were 2 seconds apart. Happened a couple of times. I sent feedback, but they are still listed as if I didn't answer.

Sigh. I was hoping to make Top Guide this week, but I don't think it was meant to be. Oh well, I'm getting better and know next week I'll have shown improvement. I'm going to think of week one as paid training.

Anyone else as imperfect as me? (I hate getting those QC emails!)

I did almost 4000 queries before I got a QC...and then I got 3 at once! I think they must be really stepping up. Mine were all citation, and I totally disagree, but I hope it won't affect TG. If I don't get TG, I'll contest them.

I got one last week (my first week too), I did about 175 questions. Mine was for citation, I linked a source within the ChaCha knowledgebase. Duh

We will get better and better as time goes on and are still learning.

I got my first two citations last week - one for format - I didn't agree with it but oh well - the other one was for citation- I am SURE I cited a site that did not show up - the reason I know that was that I remember debating in my mind if it was the right site - I double checked it - but they said I cited a chacha site. I don't go through the quick links ever so that isn't really possible for me! Interestingly - I got 100% accuracy in the week anyway.

You should not site ChaCha at all unless you have absolutely no other choice. You'll get QC'ed for citation immediately for that. Unless you're telling someone how to become a guide or giving info on # of guides, founders, etc you need to use another source. If you're just BS'ing about the weather/ your day/movies/whatever, find a relevent site and use that.

As to QC's, I did 3000 searches before I got one. Which is frankly purely luck! I used Wiki a few times in the beginning as a source, as well as ask.com and yahoo before I realized they were blacklisted. But when I started they weren't doing the pay per performance deal so they weren't checking nearly as much. Since that's started, I've gotten 4 total I think. Maybe 5.

I am confused then, too, but that is what I've been using lately. Several in the forum said this was what to use.

udsweetpea, you won't be sent the list. It is in the blog. If you go to the forums it usually gets posted in the announcements but at the top of the page there is a link to the blog, that's the easiest way to view it.

I did not have power last week and was not able to work - but was not worried b/c I have been a top guide every week and had over 800 searches - but I am not on the bonus list - that makes me REALLY mad. I have sent them a FB question but it will probably take forever to get an answer!

I made top guide, so that is great news. And I'll be in Disney for the entire next TG period, so don't have to worry about it for next week.

I am bemused that for a company that has communication as it's product they they are so bad at communicating with their contractors. What's with that?

Hi guys and gals!

Another week at the TOP! 100%, 100%, and 367 searches

I got 2 QC's two Mondays ago and thought for sure it would knock me out of the running for this week.

I earned one and contested one of them, and apparently they removed it.

Now if I could only get my energy back up to meet my weekly goals.

It's been 2 weeks now that I've answered between 300 and 400 searches. I aim for 500 to 625 to make at least $100 to $125/ per week.

I don't know why I've gotten lazy, I think the questions are getting harder, requiring more time so I get frustrated.
