IS stands for Information Seeker (the people asking questions)

Yes, after you do 10 questions, you should stop.

ChaCha on!

anyone else having trouble with ChaCha this morning? I can't get into the Underground. Also, the questions are popping up before the doorbell box! So the question is there before I even click ok! What the heck is going on?

Yes, I am having the same problem. I hope they fix it soon! I really planned on working while the kids are at school today. :surfweb:

On another topic...tonight I saw an IS say MORE - and the guide answered - you get a new guide each times so please be specific in your query's.
That just makes me mad - how can you miss something that basic in the training? I hope they start firing guides who are that bad!

You know, I got one of those last night and I looked at the history and the previous questions were just conversational. The "more" looked like the IS just wanted to keep chatting and maybe didn't know he gets a new person each time so I replied with: "Did you know that every time you send a text you get a brand new guide? There are 15,000 ChaCha guides here to help you! ChaCha!"
Do you think that was bad? I've seen other MORE questions from IS and replied with more info if the previous question received an extended answer. I also got a ticked off IS who didn't understand the MORE at the end of the previous guide's answer and thought the guide wasn't giving proper info.

I'm supposed to be doing by 10 simulator questions, and I've done eight of them. Once I hit ten, should I stop until I hear from them?
By the way, are the simulator questions just question from real users, only you don't get paid for them? It seems so real because there is no real regularity to the timing between the questions.

I timed out on 3 and didn't know until I looked up my searches in my profile. So I had to keep going until I got 10 under the time limit and I was approved almost instantly. It's weird and I DO think they must be real. But I wondered if they had even graded them because they approved me so fast. :confused3

Thanks! I've been with ChaCha for about 2 months (first day or two of July) and I've made about $1200. :woohoo:

You're my hero!!! How often are you on? Are you just really fast? What's your secret?

Well, I got a bunch of ad-ons and found some pages to leave open for reference often, so I seemed much faster last night. Still working for pennies unless you make that top guide or bonuses though! I'm only up to $4 and change, after 2 hours of B2B questions last night! :sad2:

How do you know that you timed out? Does it say it on the thing, or is there a certain time limit. Most of them were pretty fast, but I had one question that I had a really hard time finding the answer to!

The "set away" button rocks! :cool1:

Anyone else get the $12 bonus from the contest this weekend? I noticed mine show up sometime yesterday. :wizard:

My balance this morning is $0. :sad1: At least I know I'm getting paid soon! That's $500 towards my Disney trip in 2 weeks. That's a lot of churros! :woohoo:

I got the $12.00 bonus as well. I was so happy! I made $433.40 in just about 17 days so I was really excited. I can't wait to see it in my bank account!

Where is the set to away button? I'm not seeing it? :confused3

When your page comes up with your question in it, down in the left hand corner there is a box to check that says "set me to away after this question" or something to that affect. Click on it when you're ready to stop taking questions and when you send that answer you will be set to away.

Where did the $12 bonus show up? I don't think I got it (at least yet), just wondering where bonuses are shown.

Soooo sad!!! I didn't win any of the contests this weekend. I wasn't home for most of the $12.00 cash night so I wasn't able to get to 120. Oh well, maybe this weekend they will have the same $12.00 contest. Congrats to everyone that won!!! Hopefully I will have good news with the Top Guide list on Thursday!!! GOOD LUCK TO everyone with that as well.

I read in the KB that the system will time you out after 10 minutes, HOWEVER, I never had the system notify me I was over and I was still able to send my answer. The counter is in the upper right, above the question. So when I was looking at my searches under the dashboard area, I saw that I answered 12, and 3 of the 12 took over 10 minutes. So I answered another and instantly started getting paid after that 13th question!

Strangely, since then, I've gone over a couple more times, but was still able to send an answer AND got paid! :confused3 But then my last question of the night timed me out after 5 minutes (gave me a pop up and bumped me out) and I could see I wasn't paid for that one. I looked in the forums and I guess there were many randomly getting bumped yesterday.

I did my 10 questions last night - am waiting to hear if I get approved - how long does that take?

Also, I did not sign up on a team, so, IF I do get approved, and anyone has room on their team, PM me and I will request to be added to yours.

This is my first pay period. I see the money is gone from my total. How long does it take to reach my checking account?

Sorry I copy and pasted what the last guide posted... So I don't know what is good or not..
I am still trying to uinderstand the lingo and I haven't taken the simulator test.

Last month, I had it in my account 2 business days after it zeroed out.

This isn't something you have to worry about on the SIM test. Once we start answering real queries, sometimes the answers don't fit in 130 characters, so we can type what will fit and then put "MORE." After that, the customer can choose to reply with the MORE and the next guide can follow up with the rest of the answer.

Oh ok I see what you mean! Thank you so much for clarifying that for me.

WOOOHOOOOOO!!!! I just found out that I was accepted as a guide. I took the test last night. I can't wait to get started.

Hi there,

I want to take the simulator test but I am worrying about everything. lol
Do I need to click on the button that says set away? I am afraid to screw up.
Thanks!

I have a weird question... I'm an expeditor right now, but I want to become a generalist. Any time I click to take that test, it gives me the expeditor test. How do I become a person that answers the questions instead of rephrasing them?

Only set it to away if you can't answer questions.

My wn question. Can I download the toolbar to more than one computer? I want to add it to a laptop, but can't find the link to it or how to in the forums.
