I took it as more of a prank than a truth, but...I wouldn't be able to post the actual question on here. It just really shook me up.
Thanks for answering so quickly. I was shaking.
True, I would have called 911, but a young man may be afraid of being arrested for doing what he said he had done. I was just shocked by the question.
I would much rather answer the body part, are you hot & how to questions.
Thanks!

I just saw this follow-up post - sorry you had a really disturbing question.

If it was a prank, it sounds like a nasty one.

How do you anwser those questions that are really easy... like "how are you".... I just want to say "fine and you"?....but you have to find a link first right??

I tell them I am fine and link to a random fact and include the fact in my response. My random fact for yesterday was that a giraffe has a 20 foot tongue.

Some questions are just so tough and I get frustrated. Do you guys ever have questions where you just can't find the answer??? I feel like such a failure. I really have trouble finding the answers to jewish questions.

Yea I am not too sure what to do when you just cant find the answer. I mean a lot of stuff is on the internet but there is obviously answers that just cannot be answered.

I am still perplexed on how Chacha makes money to pay all these many guides - and by reading this thread, the number of guides must be growing in leaps and bounds!

Previous posts said it's from advertising, but who is advertised to? The users? How do advertisers make money on this service? I am just confused on how this is a viable business. :confused3

Oh well! Nevermind! Maybe it's one of life's little mysteries! :scratchin

I read somewhere that they are going to be putting a little ad in each text we send back....wonder how that'll affect people asking questions.

As for how it's a viable business....I was worried about it until I got paid the first time! LOL I don't care how they make their money, really, as long as I get mine. :-)

I know what you mean! I got a math problem one time that killed me! I am not very good (ok horrible) at math and did not even know how to begn to answer it! Instead I made a joke about how I needed math clases and sent a link to Amazon with a math for Dummies type book.

If I can't find an answer I let them know and then give another tidbit of info about the topic. I always try to put some sort of answer on there. I think there are lots of guides out there who are lazy and don't even try. I love the "Can't find the answer. Have a good night." That is not helpful to the customer or the next guide AT ALL!

Ok, I'm all registered and ready? to take the test. Why am I so nervous???
Anyone have any 'tips' for the test? It says there are three parts of the test... what was the typing part like?

Thanks! :lovestruc

There's already an ad. When you go to the URL on your mobile answer, you'll get a tiny banner ad at the top of the page.

The ones that get me are the questions for cheats for Xbox & other games.

I know nothing about this ~ and am not even sure if it's right when I do find an answer to what I think they're asking.

Anybody have a good site that I can understand??:rotfl:

The one my son uses all the time is cheaplanet.com. What they are looking for is a series of controller strokes they can put in that gives them say unlimited health. So go to the web site, choose your platform (xbox, playstation, etc) then pick your game. Scroll down until you come across he cheat they want.
Hope this helps and good luck!

There's also gamefaqs.

I got one today asking how to become a mermaid on a full mood. :lmao: I love those!

Thank you all for your words of wisdom & help, I got my e-mail today and I'm officially a guide!

Whew Hew!

Is it ridiculous that I'm nervous to take the simulator? I just could really use the extra work and I don't want to foul up my chances. How much studying did all of you do before taking the simulator? I've been thinking of doing a little every day for the next couple of days and then taking it. Good plan?

Is anyone else having trouble with ChaCha tonight? When I get a question, and I click on Search, my dashboard disappears. Then when I click on a website, I get a message that says that I need to be in search mode to do that (or something like that). I haven't been doing anything different, and the first 10 questions or so worked fine. Is it just me or has anyone else had this problem tonight?

Not tonight, but it's happened before.
Try logging out and back in. If that doesn't work, just open a new tab in your browser for the search and see if that helps.

Seems like when it happened to me, I had to totally shut down Firefox and start it again. Re-start the computer if all else fails. Not sure why it happens though. Good luck!

The SIM test was not difficult. Just take it when you are fresh. Don't take it after a long day at work or a stressful day with the kids. It really wasn't at all difficult. The hardest part about ChaCha for me was accepting my first real question. I was just so scared!! I still get a bit nervous when I get questions I don't know how to answer. I start to panic a bit when I am reaching the 3 minute mark. I'd rather answer the question RIGHT and be a little slower rather than answering it quickly and getting it wrong. I still have alot to learn, but I think I am getting better a bit each day. It seems like I get mostly teenagers asking really dumb questions. It is annoying, but really easy money!

I completely agree, and while we don't need to dilly-dally in answering, it's the accuracy of our answers that will make the customer happy. What good is a quick, WRONG, answer?
