What payment option did you guys choose? - and why?

I picked the pay me now b/c for me this is "fun money." I like having the debit card so if I'm out shopping and want something I can grab it. If I put it in the checking account then I have to have the "why did you need that new purse? couldn't you find a cheaper one?" conversation with DH. If the $ never passes through the checking account then it doesn't bother him. He knows I'm doing it and knows I'll have the debit card so it's not like I'm hiding it. He's cool with that plan too.

I just got accepted and ChaCha'd for the first time! In 25 min., I made $2.00! I can see this becoming an addiction! (Oh, and no crazy or weird questions - all normal stuff!!)

I finally started accepting the real questions...I was so nervous for my first one!! I have been getting lame questions, and a couple that have completely stumped me!
I need to be a bit more witty when it comes to the nasty ones.....

Does anyone else have the same problem when the little doorbell rings....you click ACCEPT and then a box comes up and says that another ambassador has accepted it??????? I press ACCEPT immediately so I don't know how this can happen!!!

I think it's a random thing! Sometimes I'll hit accept right away and lost the question, and sometimes I'll hesitate for a few seconds and won't lost the question.

I have the invitation to to become a guide... I wanted to read the Handbook first, but when I click on the link it asks for a "handle" and "password"...how do you get a handle and password? Can you get to the tests and handbook without having one? Sorry for being a knuckle head!

I found this website that explains the origin of the phase "You're welcome." When I get a "question" where someone is thanking me, I tell them they're welcome, and to text again soon . . . . and use this site: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/654233

It is appropriate to answer them. If we get the message, we are supposed to send a response. I wouldn't use AnswerBag - it is on the "prohibited" list. You can copy the text link to the previous answer and reference that page - or check the history and find another related source. Occasionally I do just use ChaCha as the citation if all else fails. I also usually tell them they can call ChaCha too at 1-800-2-CHACHA. If you abort, it just gets sent to another guide. It'll keep going until a response is sent.

For all the newbies with questions, there are some forums on ChaCha that are pretty helpful. There are several long-time guides and moderators who can clarify some tough questions.

For those not getting inquiries - make sure you're added plenty of keywords/categories to your account. They will help you get matched to inquiries.

They also have some good tips on how to give witty responses to some off-color questions.

SSN is required for the W-4 (or whatever that tax form is!), so I can't imagine a way around it.

Has anyone else actually tried using Cha-Cha since becoming a guide? My husband started using it since I became a guide and the links he gets are usually total crap! I'm so annoyed at the people who don't use real links!! I could answer more questions too, if I just used chacha.com for every answer. Grrrrr!!

When you are working (not as a customer), you can actually report "bad" answers and links using ChaCha feedback. I have yet to do it, but apparently you can copy the link from history and send it in. Many people report keeping an open document, copying links to it and going back later to report bad/inappropriate links from other guides to the ChaCha feedback.

Maybe someone else knows more about it - I know it is SO annoying!

I didn't realize about teams when I signed up too. A pity, for sure. I would have loved to helped someone else out.

I wish I knew about the reporting a guide. You know what I just read? I got a sms that says "are you serious?". The IS asked about muscles. The guide before me tells the IS to take steroids and human growth hormone. I couldn't believe it. I told him to never take those without consulting a physician and that he should lift weights to build muscle. I was seriously appalled that the guide said that. Might have been a joke but how can you tell over sms, you know?

Oh and another thing that gets me is all the religious questions and people blatantly stating their religious beliefs in responses. It's really not cool. I'd be kind of ticked off if someone did that to me.
