AAAAAGH! it drives me NUTS when a guide doesn't even try! i got a question wanting pics of a company's charter buses, so i went to the previous guide's source site (she'd given name and phone number) so that i could give the IS the website addy (since i obviously can't send pics) and it sent me to the CHACHA PAGE!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR! all i could do was tell the IS that i don't have the technology to send pics and the bus company had no website (i looked it up and it didn't) but that they could call the phone number to get bus info. i know that sounds lame, but what can you do when the previous guide leaves you hanging? at least the phone number she gave was correct...

Tonight an IS asked TWICE where the Winter Olympics are and both Guides told them that it is not the Winter Olympics right not it is the Summer Olympics in Beijing - REALLY? Like the IS didn't know that - why would you not answer the winter olympics will be in Vancouver?

How do you report stuff like that?

On the plus side - I made Top Guide this week! I wasn't making a concerted effort like I have this week so that gives me hope for the 20 cent top guide next week!! I am less worried about the pay cut now.

congrats! i got top guide too-yay us! i've done 550 searches, but i lost power 2 x this week while in mid-search and my computer froze a few times, so i'm kinda worried about next week. tomorrow is a big chacha day for me though, so hopefully even with my boo-boos, i'll still make top guide next week.

I have only done just over 300 this week because I have family visiting and they are killing my free time. Tomorrow is a big day for me too. I am hoping to get in at least 100 more by the end of tomorrow and I hope I am over 95%.

So, when will we find out for next week? Did they change the day the emails come out?

OH HOLY CARP! i just accidentally used wikipedia as a source! i had another site open too, was looking at them both, accidentally clicked to use the site as a source and didn't realize it was wikipedia instead of the other until i hit submit! D'OH!

I noticed that in the OLYMPIC LINKS that there were Wikipedia sites listed-strange, we aren't supposed to use them but they have them there for us.

Maybe it will slip past QC.

i hope so i did the same thing once last week and didn't get QC'd, but with the new pay structure and everyone being so up-in-arms, i'm afraid i won't be so lucky this time. i also think it's odd they allow wikipedia links to come up in our searches when they don't want them used.

I did the same thing today using WIKI as a source!!!

Also, I was ChaCha'ing early this morning when an IS asked if Bernie Mac died. I looked and looked, and all I could find was that he was still in a Chicago hospital fighting pnuemonia. An hour later, I found out he did in fact die!!! YIKES...that was a MAJOR error on my part and I feel terrible that I gave out a wrong answer! I have had about 50 questions about Bernie today. The other 49 of my answers were all correct. I hope QC at least notices that I found out the right answer after my first mistake.


I am trying to avoid ChaCha tonight. I know NOTHING about the Olympics.

LOL, i've only answered maybe 4 questions about the olympics all day long, and i've made $31.00 today, so i've been on a good chunk of the day. most of my questions have been for phone numbers, movie showtimes and "did bernie mac really die?". i've gotten that question about 10 times myself.

I took the Fitness Assessment test and they said my scores didnt meet their criteria. I was interrupted a zillion times by my kids, maybe I should have been paying more attention.

That happened to a friend of mine, too. She's going to see if she can take it again. And I warned her!

So jealous . But I made tons of mistakes...I kind of forgot about the black list the first few days, and then oops! Never got a QC though, so I thought maybe they didn't notice. Next week they are going to start giving us our scores.

And about the posts, I've got a ton already...I always post during the lags. Like hit "start searching" and while its loading type a few words, then hit "choose this site" and while its loading type a few words...I have the timing down pretty good. Of course this only works when the system's actually lagging.

I am glad it isn't just me! I am glad I am not trying to get my 300 questions in I bet there are some very mad people trying to get them in before midnight - maybe that is why the universe crashed!

I am trying to sign in to the Universe, but it is not letting me. It must be down. This is the main reason that it is unfair that they are requiring us to answer 300 queries a week. I'm sitting here ready to work, but their site is down again!!

I had over 60 questions to do this evening so I'd reach my 300 and now it's not going to happen.

I've lost so much faith in ChaCha that it's not even funny. I went from thinking this was the greatest thing since sliced bread to believing it's a scam.
