You don't need to fax it anymore. You should have gotten an e-mail about this. Just re-select your payment option and you can register your checking account online.

UGH! I am so frustrated with ChaCha right now! First it kept kicking me off in the middle of a search. Then, the doorbell kept ringing one right after another, but it wouldn't let me accept any of them....it keep saying that another guide took it. I must have missed 30 questions now!!!

I was having that problem too! Very frustrating! I was continuously tapping the space bar & still losing 10 in a row over & over!!! I think there were just a LOT of guides on trying to hit 300 searches before the week is over. :-( I'm feeling the pressure!!

I am working today for the 20 cents. I plan to quit as there is no way with my work schedule, I can continue. I work almost full time every other week. No way for me to be consistant in gettin 300 a week & even then it is only a chance of making top guide & no way of knowing how I am doing.

Didn't know people were striking today! Haven't gotten any why aren't you answering questions, and they questions aren't coming faster than normal for this time of day. Hope it works for everyone if they are striking!

Not a ChaCha guide but I did just receive a youtube link to the guide that is striking. It was pretty informative to say the least and I think your paycut just stinks. I won't be using the service anymore.

Is there any way to IGNORE a poster on the ChaCha forms?

I just want to reach through the screen and grab her!

She is in every thread, always has a "better then you" attitude, a know it all, and a bragger to beat all. She claims to make over $400 per week - which is possible and admirable, but it's the way she shares this information, she has kids- read that as other responsibilities please, and just makes me crazy, I can't read a thread without her being nasty to someone!

How can she make that kind of money and respond to tons of threads on the forums all the time? I read the forums while waiting for the bell, but I don't have that much time to respond to the threads.

This is not aimed at me, here's an example: the thread is "Are you going to make 300 this week..."...

"I'm at close to 800 (searches) since Sunday. I really don't have TOO much trouble with the system..few seconds hang up here and there. You were notified on Monday like the rest of us and the week starts on Sunday."

I mean, why does she have to be mean to everyone? The poster anticipates not being able to get in her 300 due to ChaCha's speed problems and other commitments, including illness I hate it when people are so self focused.

The time for getting in 300 searches is Sunday through Saturday. The next Sunday starts a new week for 300 - so if anyone is getting close or trying to get in their searches, for this Top Guide period, you've got today and tomorrow - I still have 25 more searches to do myself!

I also had kind of a brainstorm about the new pay system. After looking at the KB article again, the pay change goes into effect the Thursday AFTER the Top Guide period ends.

For example, this week's period ends tomorrow, 8/09. They will release Top Guide results on Wednesday. If I don't make the list, my pay will decrease starting Thursday, the 14th. Now, if I read it correctly, I would make 10 cents from Thursday (14th) until Wednesday (20th). However, there would be NOTHING stopping me from getting in my 300 queries to qualify for Top Guide during Sunday (10th)-Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday. Then, if I DO make Top Guide, awesome, and if I don't, I've still done my 300 searches for the following week at 20 cents each. I could do NO searches at 10 cents each until I know whether or not I've made Top Guide for the next period. If I do, then I just have to get my 300 in on Thursday-Friday-Saturday.

It is harder to type out than it is in my mind. Basically though, if you are able to get Top Guide at least once every other week, you could still manage to avoid only getting paid 10 cents per query - you just have to do more queries in less time. The upside is that you can then take a couple of days totally off if you want. It obviously doesn't work if you never make Top Guide though. If I had to do 300 queries in 3 days, I'd have to work about 4 hours each day, which is workable for me, but maybe not for everyone.

Anyway, just thought I'd share - either to help or be corrected!

Daydreamer, to block someone do this:

Click on your User CP
Click on "Buddy / Ignore Lists" in the bottom left, under Miscellaneous
Add the user's name in the box under "Ignore List" and click "Save List".

I made Top Guide in my first week! Just got the email a little while ago. I'm so excited! It's crazy how the little things excite us! Now hopefully I can keep up the trend, and do it weekly after the 14th!

AND my Pay Me Now button is working! I got the email from FIB with my account info, so I figure I should be getting my card the beginning of next week!

AAAAAGH! it drives me NUTS when a guide doesn't even try! i got a question wanting pics of a company's charter buses, so i went to the previous guide's source site (she'd given name and phone number) so that i could give the IS the website addy (since i obviously can't send pics) and it sent me to the CHACHA PAGE!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR! all i could do was tell the IS that i don't have the technology to send pics and the bus company had no website (i looked it up and it didn't) but that they could call the phone number to get bus info. i know that sounds lame, but what can you do when the previous guide leaves you hanging? at least the phone number she gave was correct...

Click on your User CP

There is a way to send a link straight to a photo - so even if the person doesn't have internet on their phone, they can still get a picture. When you find the photo you want, right click and choose "View Photo" - that should open the picture in its own window, which you then save as your search result. You can tell the IS that if their phone is enabled, they can click the link to view the photo. I think there is a whole thread on the ChaCha forum about how to do this - I hope I explained it correctly!

oh geez, i didn't know that! i hope i don't get QC'd for telling the IS i didn't have the technology! oh well, the bus company didn't have a website anyway, so all i could do was tell them to call the # for info on the buses.

I took the Fitness Assessment test and they said my scores didnt meet their criteria. I was interrupted a zillion times by my kids, maybe I should have been paying more attention.
