OT: Cataract surgery? UPDATE Dad had sergery, still blurry

I posted much earlier in this thread about being scared because I had to have them done.

I had both done by last December and went from wearing the thickest glasses my whole life to none.:dance3: It has truly been a miracle for me. They corrected one more for distance and one a little tiny bit less so that I can read the computer without glasses. When I read a book, I do use over the counter reading glasses.

It took me about a week to get to my full vision. I think I am going to get some sunglasses made with the left eye corrected better for distance, only because when I drive for long periods of time, that eye gets tired, since it is corrected to 20/30 instead of 20/20 like the other.

I hope your dad is doing much better and is as happy as I am with them.

Good news to report.
Dad's eyes are now not dialated. Yesturday they were like 50% less dialated, and today he had his recheck apointment, and he is now 20/30 in that eye and not dialated at all. So he is much happier, although with the lens popped out of his glasses in the now good eye and the un-fixed eye w/ the lens. He will be much happier

They said it does take a few weeks until all the healing takes place, so hopefully it will get to 20/20 in that eye.
