Hi. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions for getting black grease out of a white eyelet comforter.

I was emptying my bureau and placed the drawer on my bed. And I guess there are little wheels in the drawer slides and they have grease on them. I can not get it off. My comforter does not fit in my washer well. So I haven't tried that yet. Just spot cleaning.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!! :bitelip:

I have been using 'Carbona Stain Devils' fat & grease product for years for, well, any fat or grease on any material and have never been disappointed. Sometimes it might need 2 applications but it always works in the end.

Wal-mart used to carry it but now I can only seem to get it at Giant & Shoprite. Here is a link for it at an online store so you can get a look at what it is. The bottles are small, about 6"X3" but one bottle can last months.

Good luck with getting the stain out.

Lestiol, I used to work at a bank and was able to get grease from the ATM off of white shirts/sweater sets when I used this. It's strong but also gentle enough that it has never ruined any type of frabic I've used it on (and I use it for all stains). It doesn't have the best smell but it usually comes out when you wash it. Good luck getting out the stain!

My sister swears by this for dealing with any grease stain. Re-activate the grease by spraying it with WD-40. Then wash with soap and water.

I swear by GOO GONE it gets everything out!!! Good luck!

Oh my goodness! So many different choices. Thanks guys. I'm going to write them all down and go to the store to see which ones they have. Thanks again. I wasn't sure anyone would respond!!

Greased Lightning (for intended for fabrics but works great!). Just spray before washing.

For grease/oil-based marks, I've had good luck with wetting the spot with a bit of cold water, putting a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid detergent on the stain, dabbing it to suds a bit, then running more cold water through and blot dry.

I second that...but it does NOT work on materials like silk.
