OT: Baby names

out of the ones you picked I like sophia. sophia ann, sophia rose, and sophia marie are my favorites. my fav. girl names are bella, isabel, or isabella, Emma, Addison, katherine, and Grace (or a combo of any!) bobby is actually "RObert Earl Montgomery IV" so yucky! so unfortunately if we have a son it will have to be a robert earl....ew. haha:rotfl:

I love the name Sophia--so pretty! ;)
My favorite girl's name is Melanie Elizabeth (partly b/c of Gone With the Wind, and Elizabeth is my middle name, DF's mom's middle name, and my Grandmother's middle name). Although DH loves the name Daphne....and it's growing on me. For boys names, I like Jacob, and Benjamin sounds like a great name!

Oh baby names, how fun :goodvibes

Another vote for Sophia for the girl :cutie: My cousin/ flowergirl is Sophia Grace and she is the cutest. For the boy, I love Samuel and Benjamin. Sam and Ben are two good boy names.

As for my future children way down the line.. I love Eden, Addison, or Allyson for as girl. For a boy I like Jack, Noah, or Conner. I'll probably change my mind a million times before I have kids though :goodvibes

I vote Sophia and Elijah.

DH and I won't be having babies anytime soon (at least I hope not...although I dreamed last night I was pregnant......) But when we do, we like the names Emily, Ethan, Kaitlyn and Kevin.

DH's dad is a twin, and I hear that the twin gene skips generations...so if we have twins, we are set with names, as long as they are a boy and girl! :woohoo:

Hey there Meyer... I had a dream a couple of weeks ago that I gave birth to a toddler... imagine that... weird... I never do seem to have normal dreams.

I like the name Ethan and Aidan also. I forgot to put that one on the list. I just talked to Andrew and he likes Scarlett. He was funny though... he asked if I had some sort of maternal instinct leading me to think we are having a girl since I keep suggesting girls names... I said no, it's just easier to come up with girls names than boys... last time, I just knew it would be a girl. This time I'm not so convinced. Everything about this pregnancy is the exact opposite so far of my first. I keep telling myself that 11 years can make a huge difference also...

My dad is a twin also. So, it's possible that me or my brother could have a set of twins. I would like twins, but I'm glad it's not this time.

The other thing I was thinking about was how Andrew has 2 older brothers and one younger sister. His sister is 10 1/2 years younger than us. She was an oops. His mom was almost 44 years old when she had her. Anyway, his dad had given up on ever having a girl before that because they had 3 boys... wouldn't it be funny (to me only because Andrew is dreading the thought) if we had more girls than boys... :rotfl: He wants a son so badly. Well, another 6 months will tell us for sure.

I vote Sophia for a girl... but I could be biased since it's my middle name :rotfl: but really, it does sound really pretty with the last name! And I second the suggestion of MacKenzie for the middle name. I've always liked the name Nina for a girl..

And I like Elijah for a boy... although AJ is a close second. I love the name Andrew. You could even call him Drew for short.

My vote is for Sophia and Benjamin. Sophia Torres has a beautiful ring to it! :thumbsup2 I especially like Evan for a boy and Emma for a girl - those are the names we have chosen.

I've always loved the same Sophia or Sophie! :thumbsup2 So, I vote for that! I also really adore it when little boys are named Sam! So I vote for that too! :cutie:
I'm not a fan of the name Elijah, because I've got a student (a challenging student) in my class this year with that name...being a teacher I hear so many children's names...and yet so many names get ruled out that way. :rotfl2:
Here are other names I like...For a girl I like the name Fiona...and for a boy I like the names Will, and Ben.

I vote for Sophie.I love the name AJ as well for a boy.
DH and I are not planning on having kids for a couple of years but I love the names of Corine for a girl and Xavier for a boy.

I love Sophia and Elijah!! Sophia sounds so distinguished.... like her momma gave her a name with meaning.. and Elijah has always been one of my favorites-- a good historic name.

Ahh the baby names... Im a big fan of Lillian (My grandmothers name was Lillian and DH's grandmothers middle name was Leelabelle--)...

I also love the names Caleb, Isaac, Landon, Elijah (your choice),

Im not one for traditional names. Seems like more times than not people are being called by their first name, last initial in school. Jennifer B, Brittany A, Michelle C.... very common names. In school, I was the only Maggie until I was in HS and had met one more. I didnt like being a "second" though. Although those names are pretty common now-- I dont think I will ever head toward the "babies most popular names" list when choosing my childs name.

Isnt it amazing how when choosing names we associate the names to people we have known with those names? My cousin was pregnant and she wanted to name her little girl Averie (female spelling) so bad. Her husband had once known a guy with the name Avery (male spelling) and didnt want to have that name because he wasnt fond of the guy. In the end they did choose that name-- but it was many headaches later.

I guess there really is a lot in a name..:goodvibes
