If you do, do you know if the breastshields are dishwasher safe? I've looked online and in the info that came with the pump and I can't find anything that says.

Thanks!

I've washed mine in the top rack of the dishwasher and they've been fine. Maybe if you're worried turn the dry cycle off so it doesn't get as hot. :)

They are made out of nylon, and they are pretty tough. I'd let them dry at room temp, though, not the hot air setting. Do take the membrane (the little white circle) OFF before washing them, the force of the water could knock that membrane off, and there will be no suction without it.

I don't know about the dishwasher (but it looks like others have answered) but I just wanted to throw out that I found some sanitizing bags made by medela that you can clean/sanitize breast shields and other breastfeeding/bottle parts in the microwave. I'm returning to work next week and I think these will be great for cleaning my pump parts there. I got the bags at target for about five dollars.

I LOVE those micro steam bags. I usually hand wash the parts at work and then every couple of days or so do a steam clean. Just be sure to follow the directions regarding steaming the tubing, I ruined a set of tubes once (accidentally used only 2 oz of water instead of 4 oz to steam them).

I called around to quite a few stores before I found replacement tubing. Toys R Us and a few other places had the bottles & replacement membranes, but it was the boutique/specialty stores and a medical supply shop that had all the rest of the parts (like different sized breast shields and tubing).

Never used the product personally, but I have lots of experience washing them!;) They never seemed to be damaged by the dishwasher.

Thanks everyone! I have used the Microsteam bags, and they're great, but I just wanted to know if I have any other options.

Check with your local hospital. We bought a set of tubes/shields etc that were for use with the rental machines. I got a used pump and style from a friend (I know you're not supposed to share, but I knew her well enough I felt comfortable), but I wanted my own shields, tubes etc. My hospital sold tubes seperately too.
