We don't see many grown up movies, because of our three little boys. The last three we saw were Children of Men, The Departed, and Black Dahlia which were all so depressing. Thank goodness for Night at the Museum, Eragon, and Happy Feet!

Whitaker had a strong performance, but it would have been nice for O'Toole to get it, even if it would have been more of a recognition of his career. I didn't like DeCaprio in The Departed, sorry!

Leo was nominated for Blood Diamond.

Yeah, a lifetime award without the label. The Departed wasn't a particularly strong film of his....

Still, I don't begrudge him the award. I wonder if he's partying with Coppola, Lucas, and Spielberg tonight? They're all on stage together!

Yes, you're right. I was typing too fast and focused on the momentum building to Best Picture. FWIW, I didn't like him in Blood Diamond, either.
